Springhill Suites by Marriott State College

For both days of our stay, from about 8:30 AM til 6:00 PM there was drilling, electric sanding and crew noise from directly over our heads, outside the window and across the hall, even on Easter Sunday! When we checked in, we were advised of this. It was too late to cancel, of course. The person at check-in told us that the information was available "on their website" and expressed no regret, giving us the company line that its purpose was to make the hotel "even more beautiful" for us - as if somehow that made the ripoff right. We spent two unpleasant, nerve-racking days in a place we would NEVER had chosen had we known previously. Shameful - never would we return, construction or not.

Clean rooms when we got their staff were very friendly

The complaint about noise were redicoules we got a room with the hot Tub and had the TV on just enough to hear over the just and got no k on the door saying tv too loud than we turn the tv off and got told we were talking to loud we paid extra for a night with our the baby and coundt even talk

My experience was amazing. I stayed there for 3 days with my sick daughter (college student). as a Marriott Bonvoy member i have stayed at many Marriot properties. This property stands out due to the overly accommodating staff. The desk staff, housekeeping and manager were kind and understanding. I intend to make this my top choice for stays over the next 4 years. The room was large and clean and are being renovated at this time and it will be really nice when completed. Loved the 24 hr coffee and tea service in the lobby. Breakfast included was a bonus.

Stayed here for 3 nights with a sports team playing over at the college. The hotel is located right off 99 with easy access and plenty of parking. It is within a cluster of “Williamsburg Style” hotels by Marriott, Hilton, & IHG. I cannot comment on the breakfast as I do not join in hotel breakfasts. The exterior and lobby are very appealing. The downside is that the rooms do need to be updated. They are very typical old style Springhill. The good news is that they have started a renovation of the rooms on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, my room is on the end of the 1st floor and I can hear the work going on all day long as I hang out in my room (while the team is at the school). The continual hammering and pounding is quite annoying. My advice is to choose a different property within this same immediate area, and when traveling back this way after the renovation is complete, rest assured that it will be a great choice at that time!

Clean but small scratches on hot tub floor and shower floor. I don't know what that was about,but nothing to bothersome. Breakfast looked nice. Close to so.e restaurants.

Bathroom and sink area should have wast baskets. The room was warm due to good heater on very cold night!
