Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort

We have just returned from a week long stay at Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel. Overall the stay and hotel was great. Staff were super attentive and friendly, from check-in through to check-out. We stayed in a suite which was ideal for putting the baby bed earlier and then having an area to relax in the evenings, and the sink, fridge and microwave were useful for cleaning, sterilising and making bottles. The location of the hotel is ideal, as you can get straight out onto the promenade and walk to the nearby restaurants and cafes, also great to have a mini-supermarket just across the road. In terms of other facilities we tried the spa and gym - both of which were to a nice standard.

The hotel had everything we could have wanted. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. All areas around the hotel were exceptionally attractive, beautifully and tastefully decorated. The buffet breakfast was the best I've ever had all needs catered for.

This hotel is not as family-friendly as it is portrayed. One of the main disappointments was the pools, which were not heated, very cold and therefore not particularly enjoyable. At first glance, the resort appears to offer several playgrounds for children. However, on closer inspection, they are largely repetitions or slight variations of the same equipment. In addition, the playgrounds are located within the children's club area, which only operates between 10am and 6pm. This means families cannot access the playgrounds or most children's facilities before 10am or after 6pm. We actually found the public playgrounds in the surrounding area offered more variety and could be used at any time. The children's pools are also very basic, consisting simply of standard swimming pools. There are no splash pads, water play features, or other attractions that are often expected at family-focused resorts. The soft play area is spread across three levels and looks impressive. However, it is of limited use for younger children, particularly those under six years old, as parents are not permitted to enter and supervise them. At the same time, staff are not actively supervising the children either, as we regularly observed staff members attending to administrative tasks or leaving the area. This policy felt unusual, given that most soft play centres require parents to supervise their children. Enforcement of the rules also appeared inconsistent, with some staff allowing adults into the soft play area while others would reprimand parents who entered to check on their children or ensure their safety. When using the soft play (limited to the boring ground floor that’s designed for baby’s ) I also stepped in a pile of sick which appeared to have been there for quite some while. The family rooms are a positive feature, especially the options with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, the rooms themselves are very dated and do not reflect the standard I would expect from a five-star hotel. The hotel is in a good area and very close to the beach and a variety of restaurants. Whilst we would return to the area we would not return to this hotel.

Nice hotel overall. Very dated rooms, below par for 5*. Pools are too cold if you're going in shoulder season, and there are no water slides which is a let down. Staff mostly very good. Big drawback for toddlers is that adults aren't allowed in soft play. If you have a toddler who enjoys softplay, don't go here - There are 3 floors, but no sane parent would let a toddler go into a 3 floor softplay without parental monitoring. Staff sit on the ground floor, and part of the 3rd floor is out of sight from the ground, so they rely on kids to look after themselves. We've never been to a softplay before where we aren't allowed to be with out toddler, so it was a real let down (staff aggressively shouted when we tried to help our toddler up to the 2nd floor). Soft plays in general feel much safer when adults are there to provide additional safety, but this place feels more like a military camp and an accident waiting to happen. The hotel is a in great area and lots of nice restaurants/beach nearby. The area with an italian restaurant and ice cream parlour is lovely, and the staff in both were exceptional. Nice live music there too. Mini disco is poor compared to places like Zafiro. Overall a good hotel that I'd recommend for families with older kids.

What a beautiful hotel from the g checking in to leaving first class experience. The rooms are large super comfy large bed spotlessly clean a nice big balcony sea views very quiet.. choice of pools .. tennis and padel court.. excellent happy staff.. loved the Japanese restaurant and Isla de Lobas? .. beach bar just outside lovely for a cocktail at the end of the day.. there seemed to be plenty of sun loungers ..location was brilliant in the middle between the harbour and the Marina .. we loved it

We couldn’t fault this hotel , from the moment we arrived to the day we left we felt very welcome and looked after ! When we arrived we had our luggage taken to our room , drinks whilst we checked in . We had a suite and it was huge , we had lovely views of the pool and the sea . The rooms are spotless cleaned everyday and they do turn down too after 6pm , loved the little chocolates on the bed and the bottles of water they left daily . The breakfast was good too , so much choice , lots of fresh fruit , pastries , cooked breakfast , loved the fresh omelettes and the fresh orange juice ! Another plus for us was the mini packets of cereal , so much nicer than cereal just emptied in bowls to help yourself to ! The pools were lovely too and we didn’t struggle to find a sunbed . The location is perfect , literally walk onto the beach from the hotel . There are no negatives from us as a family , we would definitely return to this hotel .

Showers were very very low pressure and almost impossible to have a decent shower in. Some moments there was almost no pressure at all. After complaining it was a little bit better but overal the showers were very disappointing, especially because everything else was amazing. For this amount of money I expect a bit more

Posizione eccezionale: L'hotel si trova in un punto strategico, direttamente su Playa Dorada e sulla passeggiata marittima. A pochi passi si raggiungono sia il borgo vecchio col molo dei traghetti, sia la moderna Marina Rubicón con i suoi negozi e ristoranti. Comodissimo il parcheggio e il supermercato davanti all'ingresso. Staff impeccabile: Accoglienza da vero hotel di lusso. Dal front desk al caposala, dai cuochi agli addetti alle pulizie e alle piscine, tutti sono estremamente gentili, sorridenti e disponibili. Ti fanno sentire davvero coccolato. Colazione da 10 e lode: Buffet ricchissimo e di qualità, capace di soddisfare anche l'ospite italiano più esigente. L'atmosfera nel patio vista piscina è deliziosa.

Qualità del riposo e della camera: Nonostante la "Suite Tripla" da 65 mq, abbiamo riscontrato standard non all'altezza di un 5 stelle Luxury. Letti singoli anziché matrimoniale, divano letto scomodo, problemi tecnici (lavello intasato e calcare) e scarsa insonorizzazione. Il rumore proveniente dal vano ascensori e dalle stanze limitrofe ha compromesso il riposo. Rapporto qualità-prezzo della cena: Sebbene il buffet serale sia ricco, il costo è esorbitante e non giustificato rispetto alla media della proposta. Con la stessa cifra si può cenare alla carta in ristoranti di fascia alta nelle vicinanze. Nota finale: Nel complesso è un'esperienza "superior", ma la qualità delle camere si equivale a strutture di fascia media. Probabilmente dipende anche dal posizionamento specifico della stanza assegnata, ma questa è stata la nostra onesta esperienza.

Un personnel exceptionnel : équipe adorable et très attentionnée, toujours prête à faire le maximum pour rendre le séjour parfait (changement de chambre pour une meilleure vue, gâteau d’anniversaire pour mon mari, petites attentions très appréciées…). Restauration de qualité : petit-déjeuner excellent et restaurant italien particulièrement réussi. Parfait pour les enfants : nombreuses activités adaptées, mini-disco le soir et adorable certificat remis à la fin du séjour — tout est pensé pour leur faire plaisir. Logement confortable : chambre/logement très spacieux, agréable et confortable.

Personnel parfois un peu bruyant dans les couloirs, notamment pendant les heures de sieste du bébé. Buffet du soir assez cher par rapport à la qualité/proposition offerte.
