The Marx Hotel

Staff was great, kind and accommodating. Unfortunately the hotel is a dump and falling apart. At least a freight train across street comes through 430am and every hour subsequent so no need for alarm.

Before booking this hotel I read a lot of mixed reviews about how dated the property is but I took my chances and ofcourse regretted booking it. First of all I booked a room for 3 adults, one tween and a teen. The room had 2 full size bed which sleeps 2 adults but very uncomfortable! The sheets were stain and looked dirty ! I had to go back to reception to get them changed and to also request a “roll out bed!! I also had to request towels because they didn’t have enough for 5 people!! If a room is booked for 5 people - I shouldn’t have to ask for another bed and towels and sheets!! Terrible place!!

The worst place I have ever stayed. I honestly wish we wld have just left! So dirty and in desperate need of repairs. Faucet fell off in my hand when I turn on the water. Shower curtain was stained and torn in multiple places. Lamp shades torn n stained. Cabinet beside fridge was filthy. I would NOT recommend. So upset that we wasted our money on this place!!!

Staff very nice, especially Emily. The room was old, hate carpet on floors. Bathroom spacious but mold on the walls and bath tub doesnt drain well.

The sheets didn’t look like they’d been changed on one of the beds, unfortunately. For being at the heart of Main Street I am surprised to find that the facilities weren’t more updated - we’re only here one night before the tournament starts tomorrow, so not a huge deal, but I would not return.

The hotel was dated and had a musty smell. We had a jacuzzi as our tub and was very difficult to get in and out of the shower. The ceiling paint was following out. The place is so old that needs to be demolished and redone.

It was a strange hotel. The pool was closed, as was the restaurant, although they provided breakfast. The location was convenient to Main st...but slim pickins re food options

There are no coffee pots in the rooms.

Had a short stay to visit the museums and attractions in Cooperstown. The hotel was about a half hour from Cooperstown and away from the crowds. The pool was closed. The hotel smelled a bit musty and some fixtures need to be updated but it was clean and comfortable. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
