Sigasiga Sands Boutique Bungalows

Apart from the location being the perfect getaway, the facilities are homey and well presented to make you feel completely relaxed and rested. We had a hot water issue, and Gene kindly upgraded us to the seafront Seahorse bungalow....Bliss! Perfect location to appreciate the sound of the sea and to enjoy the endless horizon. We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking and welcome provided by Subash and Sonita. We ordered most meals when we discovered how delicious their cooking was. We had no transport other than that provided by Bablu's excellent taxi service, which we used to go into Savusavu for some shopping to make use of the very well-equipped kitchen and then to the airport at Labasa. Gene made us feel very welcome, and overall, this was the kind of downtime we needed. We arrived with plans to explore the area but due to the gorgeous location and the lovely bungalow, we barely managed to tear ourselves away from our front porch. Absolutely everything to recommend this property and nothing to complain about other than having to leave.

Having to leave. There is a discrepancy between Booking.com's name for the room and the real names at the property. We checked the property website to make certain that we had the room we wanted.

Close to town and activities, easy to find, on the beach, comfortable beds, amenties in the room were sufficient. It was quiet and relaxing. We liked the fauna around the grounds, breakfast was fine, and we ordered dinner a few nights as well that was very good. We used their lanudry service which was great as well. Wifi was sufficient for us to get our needs met.

We could not find the remote to the TV, but we never really asked either as we really did not need it. I would not consider this as a negative.

We liked being close to the ocean and having lots of privacy. Subhash was great at accommodating our needs. Savusavu town shopping and restaurants are 15min away. Bus and taxis easily accessible. The menu options available on the property was also a great variety. Bula Vinaka.

Great location right on the beach & relatively close to town (short taxi ride). Accommodation is simple but clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Owner was very responsive & helpful with queries.

The caretakers at Sigasiga Sands are amazing and made sure we were confortable and safe. Food was deliciously prepared for us and brought to our cottage. Beds could use an upgrade, but overall, excelent. The setting was relaxing and there was plenty to do. .

We loved the setting, in a beautiful grassy area with flowering bushes, palms and lovely ponds along a stunning white sand beach, with crabs, geckos, lizards, frogs and birds. The resort has three well-spaced cottages plus a smaller “hut” within a beach front tropical garden. From Seahorse cottage you can watch the sunrise while lying in the extremely comfortable bed. All the cottages are well equipped for self-catering and have delightful outdoor spaces to watch sunrise, sunset and all in-between. While SigaSiga sands is quite isolated - no local shops or cafes - this is very much part of its charm. Bablu, a local taxi driver, provided an excellent on-call service into town or around the island. Subash, the caretaker, and his wife Sunita live on-site, were always helpful and provided superb home-cooked indo-fijian meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner on request, plus a special traditional lovo “banquet” at their place on our last night. We would also like to express our special thanks to the owner Gene for being so accommodating in rearranging our booking - we had been inadvertently booked into the “hut”, and while it is truly charming it was far too small for our two week stay. Despite being heavily booked Gene was kind enough to arrange some cabin “hopping”, so we got to see the whole place.

Going home again!

The grounds are very lovely, like a well maintained golf course. It is a short stroll across the lawns to the beach. Each bure is set apart from the others so you feel very private. They are clean and very well equipped…. even down to a blender !!! The beds are wonderfully comfortable like resting your body on a dream cloud… Sabash and his wife Sunita provide good food right to your door. Really there was nothing l was wanting for.

There is no restaurant but you can order meals to be delivered to your villa or beach. They have a good system for recycling.

The bungalow is very located. The view from the bungalow is amazing, right on the beach. The owner, Gene, was excellent. He did everything to ensure our stay was perfect.
