Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. You can walk to downtown from the hotel easily. The venue itself is very clean and modern. The amenities were great. No complaints at all. I docked at one star mainly due to two reasons - one of which could be a deal breaker for some families with kids. 1. We requested a crib and they said that they were provide it at check-in. A few hours past and the crib still has not been set up so we went down and asked again. They said it will be set up right away. A few hours again pass by and nothing... At that point we were kind of fed up and we brought our own pack and play from the car (luckily we brought it with us as a backup). 2) the parking fee. There's basically no way to get out of that as there's no parking anywhere else nearby.

Stayed here before and the property is very nice, so there was no reason to go elsewhere. Overall, another great stay but not without some mishaps. The weekend we stayed was a busy one, so the property was mostly occupied. The staff was moving as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Upon check-in, which was an hour late beyond check-in time, we had to store our luggage with the front desk. We were hoping to get in on time so we could freshen up before our wine tasting but we just used the lobby bathroom. When we got back from lunch, we get to our one-bedroom suite, which is the Sonoma Garden Suite. The room is super nice and spacious room with a full patio (see photos); it easily fits 4-5 (two full beds and one couch). But we had one problem….the room was soooo hot…mind you, we went on a hot weekend. We called for service and they send the engineer to look at our AC unit twice. Air was blowing, but it was warm air. At this point, we decided we cannot stay in this room, and I asked the front desk what can be done. They said they could move us to another room. I asked for TWO rooms bc technically, the suite we had was a room made for 4+ people and I booked it for the sole factor being we had lots of extra space (800+ SF). After a little back and forth, the young lady at the front desk said there was nothing they could do bc they only had ONE room. Then the front desk manager Eddie Huang stepped in and said they will try to fix the AC one more time when my group and I were out to dinner. Before leaving, I asked in the event the AC is NOT fixed, what are our options. He said they would figure that out when I got back, but I told him I didn’t want to deal with this after a later dinner; I would rather have some kind of backup plan as the two first visits from the engineer did not result in anything. I left slightly annoyed, bc although I was reassured they would make it right, there was no clear plan. We left for dinner, came back to the room, changed, and made the decision that we needed to get out of this room ASAP. Luckily two of the gals were able to deal with the air, but two of us could not. So, we marched to the front desk and front desk manager Eddie was still there. He said he has taken the necessary steps to move us into TWO rooms and that they are ready now. Told him we only needed one room since the other two guests were ok with staying where they were. The next morning, we checked out and Eddie was there again, said he reimbursed us all our points, and took care of the resort/parking fee as well. I was pleasantly surprised. I know sometimes the staff can only do so much, especially given it was a busy weekend, but I have to say the two times I’ve been here, the staff was very nice and keep their cool. Patrons can be unruly so a high-five to them for dealing with the complaints. This property remains one of the nicer ones and is within walking distance of so many good eats. I would go back again and hopefully try to make use of that nice patio in that suite I booked.

Hotel was very clean and had that indoor outdoor CA vibe. I liked the monastery set up of the property it felt unique. I would stay there again if I was in the area for business again.

As co-chair of a 3 day 200 person conference at the hotel, I could not have been any happier with the staff and overall experience. Everyone was very anxious to please and take care of any issues as they arose. Feedback from attendees was very positive. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Amazing gem of a hotel. The staff is exceptional. Keira and Izabella are such wonderful front desk representatives. They really went above and beyond to make or stay perfect from beginning to end. We were there visiting for my husband's 45th birthday and to visit family that live in the area. I can't recommend this hotel enough. The pool, hot tub grounds are stunning . Staff are very friendly and laid back but also very helpful. Will come again to visit the area and family!

It's fine - it's a bit away from the wineries and in Santa Rosa, which is a cute town with great restaurants and fun bars. You should know its right by the highway and not every room has a great view, but the pool is nice and relaxing. They have a good amount of activities you can opt into. We went for one night but would probably choose a different hotel next time if we want to spend more time wine tasting. Noise level was terrible -- there was a party happening in the room next door to us that went past midnight which was probably just bad luck for us.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country and had a very serious issue with the bed in our room. During the night, both my wife and I became very itchy after lying in the bed. After the stay, my wife developed multiple red, swollen patches on her body. We contacted our family doctor and shared photos, and her initial impression was that they looked consistent with bug bites that may have triggered an allergic reaction. This was not just an uncomfortable night. My wife continued to be extremely uncomfortable after the stay and needed medical attention. I reported the issue to the hotel and asked them to inspect the room and bed, take the room out of service, share the inspection results, and provide a clear process for resolution. The General Manager initially replied, but after I provided more details about my wife’s condition, I received no response for a full week. For an issue involving a guest’s health and possible room cleanliness or pest concerns, that lack of follow-up is completely unacceptable. A hotel at this level should take this kind of complaint seriously, communicate promptly, and provide clear follow-up. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property.
