Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort

The room was steps from the beach. We did have a few roaches but they came under the door from the grass area being beachfront. The staff is 100/100 attentive and caring. I give them a 5star! Room Is clean beside our beach critters. I NEVER give bugs a pass but I know they are from the beach grass not the hotel being filthy. The hotel buildings (beside bldg 7) are overrun …a disaster of little yelling kids n drunk loud parents. Staying in bldg 7 is your best bet. It was trashy. Location is surrounded by fast food and not Much to do. Nothing Fancy very no frills low budget beach trip.

Upon my arrival I was greeted by a dead decaying smashed mouse in the parking lot behind my car. Check in went smoothly, it’s a two part process where the they invite you to a free breakfast and try to get you to become a Westgate member. My assigned room was at the very front of the hotel; it had a view of a staircase and the parking lot and there was a trashcan a few feet from my doorway. The “Luxury two bedroom suite” is very small. It’s cramped quarters for a party of 6. There is no porch or patio adjacent to the room. There is nowhere to hang wet pool towels and swimsuits. The bedrooms are so small you can barely open a suitcase in them and they don’t have windows just fake shutters. Master shower had the coldest hot water I ever had to shower with in my life; I was shivering in the shower; maintenance came and messed with the hot water heater and then demonstrated the knob was backwards and hot was to the right, but when I tried turning the knob to the right when I was showering, the water only got colder. Towel rack attached to wall directly over toilet paper holder so you can’t hang your towel to dry because it will be touching toilet paper. There is No pantry to store food. I had to cram my groceries in the small cupboard above the refrigerator. There is no sheet pan, griddle pan or pot holders for cooking. I had to cook a pack of bacon in a 7” skillet; it took 30 minutes. The food ordered at the Tiki bar probably came from 7-11; a hot dog that looked like it had been on the warmer for a week and a hamburger that was hard as a rock. The Inner courtyard pool area is very cramped, the lazy river and pool area are extremely small and are surrounded by hotel rooms; reminded me of a motel 6. The resort is Not beachfront; the beach is quite a jaunt from the front; about two blocks of resort buildings, crossing a road, then another resort building before the entrance to the beach. I was constantly smelling cigarette smoke on the beach and at the pool area. There is nowhere to recycle paper/plastics/compost. Summary I was let down, the vibe was not exciting. This was not a resort in my eyes, it’s more like a knock off resort. The only pluses were it had comfy beds and pillows and and blankets in wardrobe

This was NOT a luxury suite resort by any means! Also NOT exactly beachfront from rooms at front of hotel, its quite a jaunt to beach; Unit cramped and crowded, Bedrooms way too small, no windows in bedrooms, no patio or porch, nowhere to hang pool towels; Pool & lazy river too small; Terrible Tiki Bar Food; Smell of cigarette smoke at pool and beach; Kitchen lacking necessary items, Rusty dishwasher; BAD VIBE: smashed, dead decaying mouse in parking lot, trash can in corridor outside room. The price I paid was for a resort, so I feel cheated!

We were extremely disappointed with our recent stay due to the following issues: Insect infestation: Maintenance sprayed three times, but the problem worsened. At least four of us suffered multiple insect bites. Air conditioning failure: The A/C went out, and staff informed us there were no fans available. This was dangerous for my elderly aunt who uses a CPAP machine. Unhelpful response from concierge: Instead of addressing the issues, we were offered a "heavily discounted" timeshare. Poor cleanliness: Floors were gritty and sandy. Bathtubs/showers had hair in them upon arrival. Outdated amenities: TVs were not smart-enabled, which is unacceptable for a unit marketed as “luxury.” Limited laundry access: Most washers and dryers on-site were out of order. We understand that not all problems are within your control, but the lack of accountability and dismissive attitudes from staff have seriously damaged our trust and left a lasting negative impression.

Location, Building 7 on the beach, Free shuttle to Pier, Tiki Bar was great. Room was so spacious

Parking, when you come in late, no parking places left. They had an overflow lot but the shuttle weren’t running.

Decent place. Spacious 2/2 with full kitchen and living room. A bit dated but clean. No room service and food stops at 830. Drinks are overpriced, overall a decent experience. Walking distance to the beach. Great location! Great for kids!

The rooms are clean and very modern and the pool area is wonderful and lots of things to do for the kids of all ages. The staff are all nice and very knowledgeable.

Parking would be my only complaint. The spaces were very tight and wasn't a lot of spaces.
