We came here for a weekend to check out this place, as it had been on our radar for some time and is about a 3-hour drive away. The property looked neat, and we didn’t encounter any issues with cleanliness. There were also many stores and restaurants in the area, which was convenient. The indoor pool was great, and my kids really enjoyed it.

The only minor issue was with the air conditioning, it seemed either not fully working or centrally controlled, so we couldn’t adjust it to our preferred temperature. However, it wasn’t a major concern. Another reason we chose this location was the ice skating rink; however, it was closed during our stay. My son had recently started enjoying skating after trying it on a cruise, so we were especially looking forward to it and hoping to go multiple times. That was the only disappointment from us.

Oceanfront

Old property, outdated interior, 1990s aesthetic, interior hallways very drab, hotel rooms unable to control heat. Our room’s door frame to the outside were able to light and feel wind through a crack in the door. Hotel is rundown and overpriced. You’re paying to be in OC not a four star hotel.

The oceanfront view was spectular. The room was old and the bathroom definitely needed updated. The beds were semi-comfortable. The front office staff was a little confusing about where to find a luggage rack and sent us in the wrong direction. We were told to go to the left to get the elevator if we were using a lugguage cart, however that seemed to be the service elevator next to the kitchen so we had to walk a long way to our room. My boyfriend had to fix the toilet to keep it from running. There was no freezer in the mini fridge. It was quiet after dark but before that we could hear doors opening and closing. Finding the correct elevator was difficult but after coming up the service elevator we found it.

The location was great

It’s dirty, the restaurant charges $21 for breakfast that was very cold eggs and French toast. The first room they put in was dirty and smelly. When I asked for a different room one of the associate told me they don’t have any left and another one came and got me a different room that wasn’t good either
