Blue Gum Retreat

Good location with nice views from a spacious living area and balcony. A well fitted out welcoming house with large windows and good facilities as described in the listing.

Having to spend one night without hot water and then leaving because the hot water system had a leak and could not be isolated so the house then had no water supply. Coles Bay being small and somewhat isolated meant the hot water system could not be repaired in time for us to remain there. My rating of 8 reflects us moving rather than faults with the place.

The location and view were exceptional.

We only got an email with the key code half an hour before the check in time. That’s fine if you don’t want guests going in early, but at least tell us in advance that’s how you operate. It’s a remote place with limited signal. We felt rather left in the dark about the arrangements.

* Super spot being so close to the Freycinet Park and also only a few mins drive to the town centre. It’s 1 Main Street in Coles Bay but we found the restaurant, for brekkie and dinner, really delicious and even grabbed a few bacon and egg rolls to go! The ice-cremery shop directly beside was also nice to try their flavours and otherwise, fish and chips were available. There’s a supermarket across the street with anything relatively good selection and a post office…so, it had everything you require :) * Spacious apartment with outstanding views, just as shown in the pictures by the property and this was lovely to look out whenever we were inside. A great option for couples/families, we were 4 adults and 1 child, with separate bedrooms/bathrooms. * Parking with 2 cars wasn’t an issue whatsoever and offered plenty of space available undercover.

* We were very pleased with everything and it had exactly what we required for our few nights there!

Driveway very steep and over grown

Breathe taking view. Fantastic location, 1min drive to shop, less then 3-10 mins drive to many hikes and various beaches. Wineglass Bay hike is only 9min away. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Open kitchen and lounge had the amazing view.
