Gateway Coonoor

This hotel was peaceful and beautiful, and it provided me with one of the most relaxing stays, I liked the atmosphere here. We felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff:s LEONA, THERESA & SAMIYA took really good care of everything. It was a refreshing Everything here felt great. It was peaceful, clean, and calm. What a nice and pleasant space! I loved the modern features and the calm lighting. It was peaceful at night, which I greatly loved.

Excellent hospitality! We truly appreciate Ms. Thresa for her exceptional support and care. We had a wonderful stay at Gateway, Coonoor with my family—it was truly an amazing experience. The staff were polite, responsible, and very patient throughout our stay. We would like to sincerely appreciate the entire Gateway Coonoor team, especially Ms. Thresa, Ms. Leona, the F&B staff, and the housekeeping department for their dedicated service. Overall, our stay was excellent, and we would definitely recommend this place for its outstanding hospitality. Thank you to the Gateway team for making our stay so memorable!

Most beautiful and scenic location. Great stay, best service. I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding that made it easy to relax after a long day. The housekeeping staff ensured everything was neat and hygienic throughout my stay. The atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming. The interiors were aesthetically pleasing, and the overall ambiance created a sense of comfort and luxury without being overwhelming. In terms of location, the hotel is conveniently situated with easy access to major areas, making travel and commuting hassle-free. Nearby shops and eateries add to the convenience. The service was commendable. The staff were polite, responsive, and always ready to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.

I stayed at Gateway, Coonoor with my family, and we truly enjoyed our stay. From the time of booking until checkout, everything was handled smoothly. Ms. Leona and her team took excellent care of us throughout our visit. We were very happy with the service, the food was delicious, and the hospitality was outstanding. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful and memorable experience—it was truly a great trip. A special thanks to Ms. Leona for her constant support and care during our stay. We also wish her all the best for her continued growth and success in her career.

Visited on 27/03/25 for 5 days with friends to celebrate our Anniversary. Appreciate GM Mr Anand Krishnan & Manager Sathish for upgrading us, very friendly. Front Desk, Theresa & Kiran were very helpful. F&B Manager Shailesh Giri with Chef Ramalingam were taking our best care day to day for our Jain food requests along with local delicious food, thank you Ramalingam. Anand & Brito taking our best care in Restaurant & Piano player Marshal entertaining us. Thank you all for making our stay most memorable. God bless you all. Haren Shah

Nice heritage property well maintained

Mediocre Food. Their culinary skills need major overhaul

Cannot recommend this hotel and its staff highly enough. During our recent stay in India, my husband was unfortunately taken into hospital. The staff at the hotel were amazing. They took us to the hospital, quickest way of getting there. They remained unobtrusively in the background in case we needed any assistance with anything. My husband was admitted. The following morning, the hotel manager was at the hospital to assist. He brought us teabags, arranged food, water, towels, even loo roll as such things aren’t standard in Indian hospitals. His presence was greatly appreciated. Once my husband was discharged, we returned to the hotel for a couple of days rest before continuing our journey. It was like going home! We were able to relax in the beautiful grounds and in the comfort of our beautiful room. The staff were amazingly attentive and kind. I had the wonderful experience of having the best massage that I’ve ever had. We were sorry when the time came for us to leave. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are well equipped, there is everything you could possibly need. It is extremely well kept and amazingly clean. As mentioned the staff are brilliant, and went over and above to look after us.

I seldom write rave reviews, but, this was an absolutely amazing stay. Just a day to celebrate a special friend's birthday and all I can say, the staff went out of their way to create such an experience . It had us thinking a revisit is a must, and am I just want to say an all inclusive, thank you and compliments, each touch point was brilliant! Thank You!
