Hotel Sonnenberg

The owner of the property George and wife were very friendly and helpful when they greeted me at the reception. I love the design of my chalet room though it was located at the other side of the hotel which wasn’t an issue for me at all as there were just few steps away from the main reception area. There was also coffee machine inside my room which was very thoughtful. The balcony view was very nice. They even have a nicely decorated glass house in the middle of hotel and chalet area which I personally felt warm and welcomed.

It might be a little bit of burden if you carry an extra-large/overweight or too many luggages as the way to the hotel was all the way up a steep hill but the view and stay was definitely worth it in my point of view. Also not too much of selection for breakfast but it was fine for me.

トイレの清掃が行き届いていなかった

共有スペースのバルコニー（朝食会場のすぐ隣）からの眺望が良く、アイガー北壁が真正面から見える絶景を楽しめる。 部屋のバルコニーからはアイガーの一部分が見える感じでした（スーペリアシングルルームに宿泊された別の方の口コミに「部屋からアイガーが正面に見えた」とあったので期待していたのですが、全てのスーペリアシングルルームがそうだというわけではないようです）。 ホテルまでの坂道を登るのに体力を消耗する分、宿泊費がだいぶ安く設定されていると思う。 受付スタッフの女性はとても親切。 部屋にコーヒーマシンとティーバックがサービスで置かれていて、気遣いが嬉しかった（スイスで宿泊した別の複数のホテルでは、宿泊費がここよりも高くてもこのようなサービスは無かった）。 バスルームは清潔。自分が泊まった部屋にはバスタブがあり、お湯に浸かって疲れを癒せたのが有難かった（ただしお湯はタンク式？なのか、途中で水に変わることもあったので注意したほうがいいかもしれません。しばらく待つとまたお湯が出ました）。 朝食では、口頭で頼めば卵をスクランブルやオムレツにしてくれるようです。

エアコンがなく真夏は蒸し暑い。 ホテルまでの坂道を登っていくのは、覚悟していたとはいえ想像以上にきつかった。

The view from our room/balcony was priceless, very clean with daily service, excellent breakfast, very friendly hosts and staff. Authentic Swiss chalet . The path to reach is very steep, do not bring large suitcases.

We only stayed one night and it was perfect! Our key was waiting at the front desk, lovely room, good size, comfortable and with a balcony and view! Breakfast starts at 7:30, and it was perfect too, with a lovely view! Fresh bread, trouts, local cheeses and meats! A wonderful stay at a chalet! We drove, there’s a small parking and then you need to walk a little uphill with the bags to reach the hotel. Totally worth it!

Chambre simple dans vieux chalet. Bon emplacement proche de la gare mais chemin en pente raide. Belle vue.

Une partie du personnel ne parle que l'anglais.

Excellente localisation, tout près du centre tout en étant un peu en dehors. Hôtel confortable et calme, bonne literie. Personnel très accueillant et aimable.

Les derniers mètres de l'accès en pente plus raide ne nous pas posé de problème, mais peuvent plus compliqués pour les personnes âgées ou à mobilité réduite. L'heure de fermeture de la réception à 18 h 00, nous semble un peu tôt, après une longue étape, heureusement nous étions arrivés bien à l'heure.

Great view from the room. Beautiful and cosy too. The breakfast is pretty good and staff is super nice. Thanks!

A bit disappointing that the reception closes so early (6 PM) so you can't ask questions after that time.
