Americas Best Value Inn Smackover

Arrived at 2 a.m. With 2 1/2 hours of sleep had to be up to make a delivery. I was going to come back to the room and get some more sleep(1. Hour). owner refused late check-out under no circumstances. so I had to drive 6 more hours on 4 hours of sleep.This is the first time I've ever had any motel refuse to let me stay one more hour to get some rest so that would be safer on the road driving a truck. Customer service is not Wade Lester's (the owner) number one priority.

One night with my four girls to go to a football game.

Free breakfast. But could have at least get free movies such like disney and plus

Everything was good. just needed more towels and tissue was not enough for me and my two girls.

Customer service was exceptional

It was just fine. we rented four room to plan and attend my mother's funeral.

The property was secluded and right off the highway, parking lot had plenty of parking, the room was dirty and roaches were found in the room alive, door frame for bathroom were rusted bathtub was dirty toliet seat kept sliding around. The room smelled like mildew.

I checked in at nearly 1am and checked shortly after 2am. The room wasnt clean, The bed was so old, the mattress sunk in, stains on everything, a box tv, hair in the shower, a/c didnt get cool. The hotel was nearly empty, and this is the room we were given. I wouldnt dare subject my wife to these conditions. Run away from this location.

My first positive impression was formed while still sitting in my home in Vinton, Louisiana, when I met Garrett who was working the desk . His professional, but friendly and well spoken manner put me right at ease and this made the process go very smoothly. I made reservations for two nights 5/6 July and, on my day of arrival I was impressed for the second time when I was approaching the entrance to the Inn and saw it sitting so beautifully up on the hill next to HWY 7. It is so well laid out and the parking areas and all around are kept so neat, clean and orderly. My third positive impression, and it was a BIG one, was when I stepped into the front entrance to the building. It was such a welcoming feeling and Garrett added to that impression when he greeted me right away and I could put a face to go with the voice I heard on the phone. He quickly got me checked in and directed me to my room. I found the room to be so clean and orderly. It had everything I would need to be comfortable and was absolutely odor free. That was a super great plus for me because I am hyper when I am around any tobacco smoke residue or pet dander. Even certain perfumes will cause me ill effects. I thank the Owners, for insuring that type of smoke free room and wish to add right now that I think the housekeeping staff has done an excellent job. I have no idea how large that staff is, but I met one of the ladies. She took care of my room and was very professional, timely and friendly. She, like Garrett and the ladies who manage the front desk, all made me feel so welcomed and were always available to assist me in any way necessary while I enjoyed my stay. One thing extra that I found to be comforting was that they know the area . I could ask about certain places I needed to go and/or things I needed to see and they were a well of information. I don't think I am suppose to leave this review with no complaint . After all, I am told, nothing and no one except God and Jesus can be perfect, so after looking long and hard I discovered one fault with my room. I have not mentioned which room, so maybe you will happen there some day. My big complaint is that the down-pointing water spout in the bath tub is not perfectly aligned with the drain hole. I don't think it is off more than a degree or so, but, there you have it. I have no other negative comments. My thanks go out to the Owners of the chain of Inn(s), the management and staff of this particular Inn, all working together to provide us a safe ,clean,friendly place to rest our tired bodies. When I am in that area again, I will make it a point to make my reservation at Smackover, Arkansas Best Value Inn. Jehu Richmond, U.S.A.F. Retired

We did not stay at this property. I cancelled reservations and still got charged a night without my knowledge. Ive been trying to get a refund and everytime i call the manager just happens to be not be there.
