Instandhaltung wird in manchen Bereichen vernachlässigt. Der gesamte Strand in Negombo ist weitaus mehr vermüllt als an andern Orten der Insel. Vor dem Grundstück versucht man aber das Gröbste zu beseitigen.

Close to the beach in a garden setting

Selected for proximity to airport, garden, beachside setting, close to Negombo centre and single stiry rooms. Lovely old building. Quirky interior. Nicely furnished. Helpful staff. Openair restaurant terrace setting in garden. It's a nice pkace for a sunset and easy to get a tuk tuk into the town centre.

I stayed 1 night. While I understand hot climates attract them, I found a squashed cockroach on the floor, on arrival, a live one crawled out from under the bathroom mirror and in the morning discovered one under the bed. The mos quito net on the bed was tricky to scramble in abd out of. Food was served tepid rather than hot. The beach directly outside had a waste pipe emptying onto it. The hotel next door was loud until 11pm, which meant the early night in preparation for an early flight home didn't quite go to plan.
