Hotel Restaurant Wessinger

We stay at the Wessingers every time we visit Europe. It is always perfect and very comfortable. I must resist the wonderful pastries though.

It was a bit expensive!

Excelent rates and proximity to places

I stayed in room #117 at this hotel. The room was not as described. The website and confirmation email clearly show I booked a room with air conditioning. Both the hotel and the room listing clearly state there is air conditioning available. There were no AC controls in the room and there was no air coming out of the only vent in the wall. The room did not have any AC. It was very hot (May in Germany) and I had to sleep with the window open, which was very difficult because of the noise from the nearby airport, and the incredibly strong smells from the kitchen directly below, of fried chips until 1AM and of bread starting at 5:30AM. Also there were half-naked drunk frat boys running around in the corridors, ramming doors, and playing with fire extinguishers until 1AM. It was definitely the worst night of sleep I've had at any of the 80 or so hotels I've stayed at in the last year. I went to the front desk in the morning to complain but there was nobody there. I emailed the staff to complain but they never responded. I am Hotels.com Gold and emailed them too - but got no response. Now pursuing a chargeback claim with my credit card company.

The initial check in was fine. However once we arrived on the second floor the area in the hall and foyer were very warm and clearly the area and our room were not air conditioned as my reservation confirmation stated. The room did have functioning windows however being adjacent to the airport and on a street with some traffic the windows offered very little respite. We arranged for a triple room and when we arrived the room was not set up for three people. The front desk sent housekeeping whom converted a large chair into a fold out bed. We were offered fans and when I spoke with the front desk they said that we had reserved a room w/o AC. When I was able to access my full email after departure I noted that was not what I reserved.

Very nice hotel, excellent value for money. Evening meal very good indeed.

Hotel is only a very short drive from the airport about 15 Minutes. Very nice and helpful staff. Pool is very narrow but a good length for one person to swim laps.

Nice hotel with great restaurant. A little further out but with added advantage of pool and next to woods for running, so good if you like to exercise during your stay.

Great little hotel close to the airport. Located in a neighborhood and a good alternative to congestion of the airport area.

Only stayed one night to be near the Frankfort airport for a flight out the next morning. Location was about six miles from the airport and provided easy access. We still had our rental car and gas station and restaurants were close by. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and breakfast the next morning and everything was very good. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Was exactly what I needed for the night.
