Skyland

I would heave given it a 5 star, but the rooms are rustic but quite clean and with stunning views. Four out of five days the coffee maker did not work. We did not get new towels daily even when asked. The wait staff was EXCELLENT and friendly and the food good. Unfortunately, on the last morning the barista was too lazy to get the manager for my Shenandoah Card Discount and offered a "deal" instead. I ended up paying the full price. Maybe how to deal with the card needs adjustment?

Friendly staff, gorgeous surroundings and views. Each cabin has a tremendous view of the valley below and a balcony. But above all, I love the quiet. No noise is so calming.

I come to Shenandoah all the time to photograph weddings/elopements and LOVE staying at Skyland. Not only does it offer a safe environment for families but it's serene for individuals too.

A wonderful way to visit Shenandoah national Park and we enjoyed dinner outside the evening we arrived.

Restaurant service was prompt and attentive. Only bad was a/c did not seem to function well.

My wife and i really enjoyed our stay here. This location was perfect and near so many great hiking locstions. Breakfast was the only meal that we had at the hotel, but it was really good.

We had an overall pleasant stay at Skyland. Our lodge was a short walk to the dining hall and there are trailheads within walking distance. The sunset from Stony Man was spectacular, but so was the sunset right from the dining room...so if you're not a hiker, you'll still be able to enjoy it. Our room had no climate control, but it did have a fan and temperatures were surprisingly much cooler up in the mountains. The beds were a bit too firm for our liking and the pillows were not fluffy at all. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at Skyland!
