There wasn't a kettle to get hot water in the room. I hardly think the coffee making machine doubles as a hot water dispenser.

While appearing modern, clean and spacious, what this motel/hotel was lacking was competent and/or adequate maintenance staff. Just after checking in, and entering our room for the first time, we found that the toilet flapper rod was broken off and non-functional. We went downstairs to report this and were told the "engineer" would come and fix it. He brought a new one but it didn't sit right and then the toilet continued flushing nonstop. We called down and he returned and seemed to have solved the problem. But later that day, after flushing the toilet, the water came up too high. We reported this and asked for someone to bring a plunger and we would handle the problem. We were told no one knew where the plunger might be . Later, one of us went to the desk and found the night clerk sleeping in his chair. We woke him up and he said he would search the rooms to find one. He added that we could use the general bathroom on the 3rd floor as an alternative. (Our room was on the 6th floor). The next morning upon opening the door, we found the plunger in the hall. By that time it was too late. We were checking out and didn't want to take a chance, so we continued to use the 3rd floor toilet. Regarding another maintenance issue, we noticed that there was an extremely thick coating of frost in the refrigerator. We might add the front desk staff were very friendly and polite and tried to be helpful. We appreciated the availability of ice water and coffee in the lobby. But we would never stay there again.

Staff is always friendly, very accommodating upon checking in and the rooms, lobby and hotel is always very clean and smells wonderful when you walk in.
