I saw 2 cockroach’s come from under the mini fridge, the light was off when I first entered, my toilet seat was very loose so when sitting it would move from side to side, walls had food splatter and scruff marks visible, floor was not swept and the shower was dirty from soap scum and hair. Overall the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and that’s unfortunate.

The friendliness of the staff. It was quiet and relaxing

I have stayed at this hotel repeatedly when making business trips to Indianapolis; it's conveniently located to downtown, inexpensive and reasonably safe and clean. I will never stay there again. I booked online, as is my habit, with a web rate. When I arrived on Tuesday night, they informed me my reservation had been cancelled, but they could give me a room for a higher rate. They gave me someone else's room. With their stuff in it. Then removed the stuff, called me back, and told me it was the wrong room (no kidding, I'd been saying that repeatedly). I encountered the VERY startled actual occupant of the room as I was leaving for the lobby, and he took it very well, considering. I was issued the correct room, and the stay passed without further incident except for the stains on the sheets in one of the beds. I slept in the other. On Sunday night, I booked online again. We arrived, were told the reservation was cancelled (again) and offered a room at the higher rate. I refused, and we walked across the parking lot to the Country Inn and Suites who were more than happy to accommodate us. And then I got home. And checked my receipts. And was CHARGED FOR THE ROOM THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY CANCELLED, a full day later than the attempted stay. I have spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to get this straightened out, being transferred repeatedly, and this hotel and probably the Motel 6 chain have lost my business for good. According to the nice gentleman from India that I have spoken with for the last 30 minutes, I checked in, they assigned me the room, and someone stayed in it. One does wonder, given the displayed prior incompetence, if the person who stayed in my room was also charged for it. And as the icing on the cake, I was on the phone being transferred by reps for 45+ minutes and needed to call five times.

Property smelled of dog pee and cigarettes. The room was dirty. There were blood stains on the towel holder above the toilet. Trash and debris in the gaps in the floor where the vinyl hardwood didn’t meet the wall. The bathroom fan was hanging off the ceiling. I could go on but these are the first gross things I can think of. The positive is the staff is friendly.

Staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Only true complaint was the beds aren’t not comfortable.
