Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Bastrop by IHG

Was staying to attend family wedding. Very jappy all around.

It was clean and a very nice staff

Location is still good for my needs. Breakfast was decent. Coffee machine makes great coffee.

This was IMO one of the better locations to stay in Bastrop. Don't know If my expectations are higher on this trip or if the quality of the hotel is less than I remember from previous stays. Received a handicap room upon arrival. Was really just too tired to ask for a regular room once I opened the door. While I'm sure it is to standard ACA requirements for handicap travelers the shower situation is less than ideal for non handicapped individuals. The front desk should notify guest that the room they have placed in is a handicap room and if that is the preference or if there are other options. Considering that the parking lot was unusually empty there should have been other rooms available.

The hotel is definitely going down hill compared to their pictures online. I booked a king bed with a fold out couch. The couch most definitely didn’t fold out and when I went to the counter about it, he said he could send up extra blankets so we could sleep on the floor. Our room reeked of mold

Receptionist put me on the 3rd floor close to the elevator. Great location for an elderly single lady!! I loved that you had free snacks available. This alone will make me come back!!
