Super 8 by Wyndham Chicago IL

For convenience to the Loyola Univ. area or to Evanston this is an OK motel. The interior parking court is a little hard to get out of -- but a very private and secure place to leave your vehicle. There's a convenience store across the street. A two block walk puts you on the shore of Lake Michigan. There are restaurants within walking distance and of course, this being Chicago, within an easy drive you'll find just about any cuisine in the world.

Perfect location and met my needs exactly. The staff answered all questions politely and completely. Room was truly non-smoking, everything worked and was clean and the bed was in good condition. I was flying in late to attend a graduation ceremony. Flew into Midway to the "L" in then bought a day pass to get around the next day. It was a nice safe feeling walk to and from the hotel and super convenient.

Very quiet neighborhood. Dated but clean and friendly. 4 blocks to El.

Free parking is a big plus. Room was very clean. The problem with the stay was that the fire alarm went off 3 different times after midnight. When we called the front desk, the staff was unclear as to what was causing it. We didn't know if it was a fire or just a malfunction. My husband had to walk the hall to check that there was no emergency. We didn't get much sleep. There was also a man walking the hallway alone with a backpack on when we got to our room that night around 9 pm. No idea what was going on. He just walked around the hallway and stood around for a lengthy period of time. Made us feel unsafe. Despite the good condition of the motel, it is unlikely we will return on subsequent visits to Rogers Park.

The room was clean..only positive other than pleasant front desk.

No housekeeping. No lobby. Elevator with temporary and conditional inspection certificate. No breakfast possible. Porcelain in tub chipped.

Location is great. It's definitely an old building. They still allow smoke which we didn't smell unless on that floor. Was quiet. Staff was extremely friendly. Parking was easy and FREE!

A somewhat shabby exterior/hallways belies the very clean, up-to-date room we had; will be staying here again.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Easy check in and out. Five minute walk to red line train.

Decent place for a nights sleep. The walls are a little thin and the water pressure could be better but the price was reasonable. Seemed like the property had some weird rules posted about not having guests in the rooms but nobody bothered me.
