Super 8 by Wyndham Chicago IL

We booked a non smoking room that reeked of smoke. Very disappointing. our clothes smelled like it the next day even. The bed was amazing and comfortable and room was very large, but the smell made the stay far from satisfactory.

The young man working the desk was extremely pleasant, efficient, and helpful. The hotel itself is just very run down, could use some minor updating - even fresh coat of paint. The room and area wasn’t filthy, but not clean. Probably hasn’t been used in awhile.

Super 8 is conveniently located, near the train station. As an older, smaller hotel, it is doing fine. Light breakfast available. Excellent customer service. They were willing to hold my luggage all day as I had arrived very early. Nice evening personnel, too.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was outdated with bathroom lights that didn't work. Bed was clean and comfortable. The site could use some moderization and overhaul.

It was a good value, given its proximity to the lakefront. Quiet and clean. Room had an odor (tolerable) which should have been noticed and addressed by housekeeping, Only one washcloth and hand towel provided.

Bathroom faucet barely had water pressure & enough water quantity to brush teeth. Morning breakfast was inadequate.

The manager was great!

The hotel was nice and clean, older, but well maintained. They were short staffed and continental breakfast consisted of a cup of juice or coffee and prepackaged cinnamon roll.

Checked in only to be told they gave away our king bed room. We had to settle for 2 queens, very disappointed. Also the breakfast was a basket of sketchy looking apples and coffee (which my husband said was bad).

This hotel is DISGUSTING. We actually left and went down the street because it felt extremely unsafe. I wouldn’t ever stay here.
