Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

I stayed in the Presidential Suite this past weekend at a cost of well over $1,000 per night. I had not been to the property in several years, but when I arrived I was immediately taken back with how old and dated the property looks like. The suite was dated, but worst of all the suite is on the ground floor and there is a suite or room above it. It felt like Godzilla was staying above us with heavy noise of footsteps nearly all night long. We ate at the restaurant on site and we both had the special pasta dish. It was $40 for a bowl of pasta with crab. I ate less than a third of it, it had a funny taste and was way overpriced. The service was ok, but not great. We both utilized the spa, and both services were very good, however the same is true for the grounds at the spa. It was built in 1981 and its certainly showing its age. I stay in 5 star hotels all the time and I do not mind paying the cost, but in this case, i felt the property was not up to my standards of a 5-star hotel. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately, my responses are truthful. Overall we were disappointed.

I had the best time at the fairmont spa. My massage by Teitzah was fantastic. She was very attentive and checked in frequently. The pressure of the pure relaxation massage was excellent with her and actually worked on some of my problem areas. The spa is very relaxing and the various pools and saunas are really amazing. It is pricey but the spa is lovely.

It is quite a large property with beautiful trees & flowers

Be prepared to park your car and pay for it in addition to the room charges . Booking.com clearly states otherwise . The front desk was unfriendly at first and for the first night the ac / heater was not working at all . No one followed up till noon the next day until I went and met the manager in charge . He was friendly and finally we were moved to an upgraded room .

Our time at SMI couldn’t have been better. Bobby, front desk, made sure everything was perfect for me and my family. All details were tended to so all we needed to do was relax and enjoy every moment at this exceptional resort.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful experience I had at the hotel’s beauty salon. Everything was absolutely amazing. I would especially like to thank Moustafa Helad, who was extremely kind and polite. He did a wonderful blow-dry on my hair — it was perfect! I highly recommend that anyone visiting Egypt stay at the Fairmont Hotel and enjoy the spa.

We have celebrated a February birthday at Sonoma Mission Inn multiple times over the past 20+ years. This visit was the best yet thanks to Alyssa at the Front Desk. Her care and attention helped us to fully relax.

Went with my daughter and treated her for her birthday. We enjoyed our massages and lovely lunch. We definitely would go again.

It needs to go under big renovation before you can call it a real hotel The spa area should just be closed as it is way to old and warned to the limit of decency
