The staff were mostly polite and kind.

Room was dated looking. Bathroom very small and door broken. Outside patio nice but only 2 hard chairs to sit on not very relaxing. On 2nd morning large intake of people from cruise breakfast was not very good food run out on hot station and we had to ask over 4 times for a hot drink after waiting over hour we gave up. Staff seemed to be over whelmed.

Beach was close and the gardens are still wonderful, but that is the best we could say about the renovated Melia Bali.

Restaurants costs are exorbitantly priced. Menu items are way too gourmet, they have lost the relaxed vibe - minimal casual lunch pub meals, and what they have has a gourmet twist that misses the mark. The old Melia was great, buts its plain to see the prices have been hugely inflated to pay for the revamp. A simple club sandwich was $36AUD, Bintang $10AUD. We will not be returning here again.

The gardens and staff were fantastic. Bought back so many memories for me personally of our family visit 27 years ago and the time we spent with my beloved husband.

the recently renovated hotel is clean and modern.

Why the deck by the beach won't sell any foods after 5pm....this amazing view is completely wasted.... BTW trees were pruned too much, no shade....

"It really was paradise!"

The staff were fantastic and so friendly and helpful. The resort was so clean and beautiful, pool was clean and the beach was gorgeous. Breakfast buffet was amazing and were able to meet my dietary requirements.

The restaurant by the beach wasn't great, the salad was missing its ingredients and the fries were cold. It took a long time to get some ones attention to order a drink by the pool.
