SOL by Meliá Benoa Bali

We have been here for 10 days after spending 5 days in Ubud, our stay in Sol by Melia was very relaxing. The resort is suitable for families, you can rent bikes and ride through the nice pathwalk all along the beach. The hotel has very nice bufet and ala carte restaurant. The sea os so warm and same the pool. Wifi and air condition works without any problem. Our room was cleaned every day.

Absolutely lovely hotel such lovely staff. large immaculately clean rooms with beautiful garden views. Local entertainment in the evening and beautiful beach front best to be all inclusive as there are not many restaurants nearby unless you go by taxi or have a private driver . Definitely worth having a private driver and have an all-day excursion so cheap and excellent. Al a carte restaurant and Mediterranean restaurant are superb or buffet style restaurant if you prefer.

I cannot rate highly enough the outstanding staff at the Sol by Meliá Benoa Bali — they are the heart and soul of the hotel. We were always greeted with warm smiles and genuine interest in our plans for the day. Nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction felt personal and sincere. The beach is small but adequate however I do think they need to provide sufficient sun loungers for guests both on the beach and around the pool area. We chose to remain on a bed-and-breakfast basis rather than upgrading to fully inclusive, as we had planned several day trips and wanted to explore local restaurants in the evenings. That said, the breakfast was one of the best and most comprehensive breakfasts I have enjoyed in in a long while. The selection was great with a variety of exotic fruits, plenty of healthy options, and of course a vast array of traditional breakfast favourites. Everything was beautifully presented and fresh and kept us satisfied until dinner each day. our evening meal. First stay at a Melia hotel and I would certainly not hesitate to book again.

We arrived 14th of January 2026. Very nice resort and rooms of good standard. We stayed half board, breakfast catered for all tastes, we ate out for lunch and dinner at the many beachfront restaurants, although these are attached to different resorts you are allowed to eat wherever & whenever you like. Food & drink prices are very reasonable, although slightly cheaper when we ventured out to Nusa Dua & Bali Collection for food and shopping. Went out for a day trip, quad biking through the rice fields and jungles and white water rafting which was amazing, last stop was the Coffee Plantation, yes we tried the Luwak coffee, very nice!! We booked our tour through a local tour guide Gadink Bali available through FB, such an amazing, friendly and informative family guy, couldn’t have asked for more, made us feel so welcome. The Balinese people are so friendly & happy people and nothing was too much trouble.

Morgenmaden og Stranden

Nedslidt. Vores værelser lugtet af mug og jordslået. Vi fik 2 nye hvor den ene på 3 sal var ok. Det på 2 var stadigvæk frugtigt. Men lugtede ikke lige så slemt. Hvis vi skulle have flere end fire overnatninger bare blive tjekket ud og fundet noget andet sted at sove. Hotellet levet på ingen måde op til den forventning man har til femstjernet luksus resort. Max 3 stjerner

Staff was very friendly and happy.

Railing should be installed where ramps are. Very difficult for handicap people. Ramps are steep.
