Innisbrook Resort

The accommodations were excellent, and the golf experience was just as impressive—both were truly top-notch. The courses were well-maintained and made for an enjoyable and memorable time. The only downside was the on-property dining, which did not meet the same standard. I would recommend exploring dining options off the property to fully enjoy the overall experience.

First, yes Innisbrook is in need of a major overhaul. It looks like I was transported to a resort in the 70’s. It’s a member of the Salamander Resort group which focuses on more boutique style resorts. I would say this hotel is the lowest category of their collection. ***IF IN WHEELCHAIR OR HANDICAPPED, no elevators in the building where the rooms where*** The m grounds are pretty. Resort is really large and spread out. Golf courses are not in great shape; to be fair Tampa area has been having water issues due to lack of rain. Copperhead is very expensive to play, it’s the host course for a PGA Tour event. Island and South course are more reasonable. Island course was in the best condition of them all. Rooms: I had a ‘Executive Suite King Bed’ room classification that included a king bed, 4 seat dining table, couch and a small kitchen. TV mounted on wall with swivel. TV uses satellite, but problem is you can select a number of channels and it will say, ‘not included in package.’ Small nitpick, but it got annoying after a while. Just needed up using my laptop to watch shows. Bed was very comfortable and linens were nice. AC worked great, which is important for the Florida heat! Bathroom was fine. Water pressure and temperature were great. Room definitely needs a refresh. Transportation: If you are driving into the resort, stop at a grocery store and grab your drinks before coming in. No place easily accessible to get beverages as the resort is really spread out. I stayed in Carnoustie building. Close to Island Course but far from registration. Regret not renting a car. Parking is free. Shuttles to get from place to place are free, but you have to call for pickup. I had to travel 1 mile in each direction for a conference I was attending that was in Stirling Building. Service: the staff is extremely friendly. Christian was outstanding! He assisted me getting my luggage from the check in desk to my room. Loaded my items in the shuttle and brought my clubs up the stairs to my room. Remember, no elevator! He deserves major props as I interacted with him multiple times throughout the week. Would I stay again? Probably not. There are other resorts and hotels in the area that can provide a better experience for the money. That’s just my opinion. I wouldn’t come here if I was on vacation with my family. Everything is spread out and the resort is difficult to navigate. If you can get a good price for the room, give it a shot. Just understand what you are going to get for that money.

What a great trip with friends. Not to mention our great breakfast this morning at MSG with great service from our server Jaimi R. Can't wait to come back.
