Hotel Silberhorn - Residences & Spa Wengen

Beautiful view to lauterbrunnen valley.

I stayed eight nights at this hotel in a classic Jungfrau view room. The hotel is a few minute flat walk from the train station which is perfect. The room also had an amazing view and nice balcony with a view which I ate several picnic dinners. Wengen was a really nice place to stay. The hotel staff was nice, the breakfast was great (especially the omelets) ,and it was fantastic to have a laundromat on site. A wash and dry was 10 CHF. The juzzucies and spa sun room was amazing after a day hiking. This is an old hotel, built in 1893. My bathroom was not renovated in grey as the pictures show. They also don’t offer massage services in the summer. My room was clean and nice sized, but there were some quirks. For example, the fridge door didn’t shut properly. I asked for it to be looked at and the maintenance person showed me how to jiggle it closed. Also my sink did not drain properly and the toilet had to be pumped to work. My shower worked great and it was nice to have a tub, robe, and slippers. I wouldn’t say my room was a 4 star room (due to the maintenance issues) but I would stay here again for the price I paid $200-250/night because of the fantastic location and view, and nice staff.

I was absolutely in love with this hotel. Since we walked in to do the check in process, the staff were nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Good location, sizable room. Good breakfast. Pillows aren’t great, town facing rooms get woken up by morning noise.

Nothing better than walking to your hotel from train, waking up in morning and viewing mountains from your balcony. This hotel was a good discovery. Glad we picked it. Hotel rooms (we took a suite) were spacious and could accommodate our family of 5. SPA is awesome. Breakfast was good and there were many food options just in walking distance of this hotel.

They should clearly post notices at various locations on the property stating that the SPA and JACUZZI facilities are available only until 9:00 PM. Additionally, also indicate that guests must notify the lobby at least 30 minutes in advance if they wish to use the SPA. What a joke!

The hotel is beautiful, super conveniently located to the train station. Our room was very comfortable and lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The staff was incredibly rude. When I asked questions about where to find breakfast and the room cleaning, the receptionist rolled his eyes and snapped at me that I should read my room card and “what did I think” asking those questions. Another receptionist turned off the lights in the reception area when I was on my computer doing work without saying a word. When I asked for him to turn the lights back on, he rolled his eyes.
