That place is in the middle of nowhere and extremely inconvenient. The maps took me literally into the middle of nowhere where I was about to be murdered.

"Best sleep ever"

I needed a hotel while I was attending the White Out Football game at Penn State this weekend and this hotel had some availability. I read some reviews and was a little skeptical at first. I initially booked the comfort in that was further out but their customer service was horrible. So I picked Super 8! The customer service was spot on from when I called to checking in. GPS said the hotel was 30 min away from Penn State and the drive at night wasn’t too bad. The hotel is not like a traditional Super 8! It was more on the modern side and the rooms were also renovated to where it looked more like a hotel than a motel. There were minor things that could have been better but nothing that would make me leave. I didn’t trust the tub so I didn’t take a bath for a number of reasons. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and I had the best sleep in a long time. I only needed the room for 1 night and it served its purpose. The hotel is kind of secluded but there were so many people staying there for the game that I felt comfortable and safe. The carpet in the hallway looked a little run down but the room looked great. My goal is to always stay near Penn State so I won’t have to drive far but sometimes those prices can be expensive. But if I can’t get a hotel near the state college then I would definitely recommend this place for a last min stay and I’d stay there again.

The property failed to let me know they had a 8 am scheduled power outages for the very next morning and it ruined my stay. No one was able to help or compensate. I would have stayed somewhere else if they told me about the scheduled power outage.

Power was turned off at 8 am due some construction work nearby. There was a note in the lobby when I checked in the day prior, but no indication that the power could be turned off so early in the day. This resulted in my departure from the hotel earlier than I expected. Who wants to stay in a hotel with no electricity?
