Excellent location, beautiful grounds and the lobby is cute also.

The rooms could use a little more care. There is a free standing fridge next to the sink with a rack for clothes serving as closet. I think this just cheapens the hotel experience. A proper cabinet that would serve as a mini bar for the refrigerator would improve this appearance so much. It’s a small investment that would improve this area, there it just looks uncared for and cheap.

The view is amazing! It’s close enough to downtown to walk to, but still far enough away for peace and quiet.

We have to ask to get our garbage taken out and I had to ask for more towels every day.

We attended the afternoon tea and it was fantastic! Very reasonably priced and location was lovely, with a great view of the water. They kept the number of tables small so the atmosphere felt intimate. Generous portions of savory and sweet items. Nice selection of teas. The table place settings were top notch! Beautifully decorated room and tables. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the berry cake was my favorite - so light and delicious! Very nice lemon curd and clotted cream with the scones too. Service was very friendly and attentive. We were actually staying at the Grand Hotel that week but chose this place for our afternoon tea. And we were so glad that we did!

Loved the top notch hospitality, welcoming staff, fabulous food and beverages, uber clean room, the million dollar lake view, location and proximity to downtown venues. We really enjoyed every aspect of our Island House stay.

We had one disappointing experience waiting too long for service at the Ice House Bar. Other than that, the food was wonderful.

It was a lovely property! It was very close to the Main Street. The staff was nice. They gave free fudge samples.

I would have liked a full length mirror. (But not a big deal)

Beautiful hotel a bit off of busy Main Street. Friending staff and luxury amenities. Room was very small but high grade sheets and good lighting. Hotel restaurant was quite good. We had a view of the back of the hotel . Front lobby very inviting
