Beautiful hotel. Close enough to walk downtown but far enough away from any bar noise. It’s right across from the harbor - sit in the lawn chairs and watch the view. Bike rentals onsite but we went with ones closer to the ferry. Staff was amazing, including luggage pick up and drop off.

Beautiful old historic inn. Bed comfortable. Nice view and porches.

It was awful with noise. We were there May 18 to 22nd, last week. Every night we were there, there were large school groups staying there. They ran up and down the halls screaming, jumping, banging on random doors. They were playing in the elevator, so you couldn't get on the elevator timely. They were out front screaming and yelling for very long periods of time. This vacation was absolutely not relaxing and restful. The hotel did get out luggage from Sheplers Ferry and took it back. There was only coffee in the morning, no other perks. I talked to the manager who was very apologetic, and he refunded me 100 dollars out of 1625.00. This breaks down to over 400.00 per night. I would not recommend this hotel. The chaperone of the kids just let them go!

Close to town but just a little away from crowds.

There were 5th grade school groups staying both nights we were there and it was loud. Hard to relax in the room and outside on the lawn. We came to the island to relax and slow down. Found it hard to relax with all the kids running around and being loud. Other than that, our stay was nice.

Great location, well maintained historic accommodations.

The location is fabulous.

The cost. A nicely appointed room but quite expensive for what you get but much of the cost is driven by location. There are far more comfortable rooms for better prices but other places.
