Fort William Henry Hotel

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is great and the property is really nice and clean. The staff os very accommodating and friendly too. We will definitely stay there again!

Great location at the edge of the village. Facilities aren’t fancy, but rooms are clean and the whole place is well operated. The grounds overlooking the lake are a great place to start the morning (plan your trip earlier than I did and snag a room with a lake view if you can! “Mountain view” is also “parking lot view.”)

It was a very nice stay. Would be nice if there was a separate area for families with toddlers to stay so wr dont have to hear them scream all night.

Wonderful resort from start to finish. Exceptional and welcoming staff at check in- friendly and professional. The room was spacious with amazing views, large appointed washroom with separate shower and bath tub. Well equipped room with refrigerator and coffee maker. King size bed was meticulous and comfortable. Plenty of room and very clean. The wedding reception we attended was a top 5 wedding of all time! The staff, the venue, the food and decor was impeccable! Highly recommend this location for a wedding event, a family event, work function or venue for a fundraiser — it is stunning inside and out and their staff crypt bartenders to event coordinators were tremendous. What a gem in the Lake George Region !

Predatory pricing, paid almost 600 for a single room. Super noisy, These are basic accommodations, may as well stay at best western or similar nearby.

The Fort William Hotel is excellent in every way. It is situated on a prominatory at the southern tip of Lake George. As such, the views are spectacular! It also sits next to Fort William Henry, which is surely worth a visit. It is only a short walk to many of the attractions in the Village. The main hotel is just beautiful and leads to a lovely veranda. It is the perfect spot to sit, take in all the Adirondack beauty and, perhaps, enjoy a cocktail prepared by Jack, the welcoming bartender. As well, if you feel like a dip, do take advantage of the large outdoor pool, where you can also enjoy lunch delivery. The Lakeside dining room overlooks the lake and the food and service are fabulous. Finally, I would like to mention that the front desk staff and all other staff are welcoming, professional and kind. The hotel is, indeed, fortunate to have them in its employ!

Mr. Luciano, President of FWHenry, with all due respect, we stayed at the Ft. H 3 different times, in 2017, '18, '19 and it was good then, stayed in all 3 buildings. Rooms have always been clean. Stayed in West wing this time, room/beds linens clean and nice and great job with the renovations, very pretty lower level room. Bathroom not exactly clean, shower wasn't clean, (mold grout in corner), sink was clogged, had to call to send someone to fix it, no large towels when we arrived, no toilet paper, we had to ask. (Tells me they likely didn't clean bathroom since items were missing). Not sure why the exterior and grounds/landscaping has NOT been kept up at all. it was so very disappointing. The walkways were pitted and unkept, and esthetically unpleasant. The back area (lakeside) where the wicker chairs are, was filthy on the ground, trash, wrappers, and sticky ice cream or other liquids on the ground. The whole back area needs beautiful landscaping, with lighting, flowers/plants and beautiful stone walkways. The gazebo area needs major renovation, the rust brown deck is decrepit and that whole side area where the bar/fire pit is needs a whole upgrade/renovation. Many people trying to enjoy the fire pit w/ adirondack chairs, and a skunk was running around wild. (I think with better lighting in that area and along the walkways etc. could have prevented that). The pool was incredibly disappointing, the unpleasant brown and broken concrete all around the pool was terrible, and the entire pool area needs repair and fixing as the pool is all pitted and chipped paint. For a perfect location and historical hotel, you can do much better before this awesome hotel goes under. The dining room is beautiful inside and should coordinate with more classy esthetically pleasing and clean exterior. We would love to come back, but for the high price, I believe you need to do some major exterior renovations, as the large amount of property would and could be so much esthetically pleasing and cleaner than it is now. My husband and I spent a weekend here in August, 2025. Perfect location to explore the town and many activities. The staff were all wonderful. A special shout out to the bartender at the bar right inside by the outdoor patio with heater. He went above and beyond for us when we met a group of people and were having such a good time even though we were still there after closing time. A definite asset to the staff there! We were in the premium wing with a room facing the parking lot. Not a great view considering the high price we paid lol but it was a nice room. Very clean and had everything we could need for a 2 day trip. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again!

I did not like the fact that our room was on the 2nd floor of adjacent building with no elevator.
