Hilltop Tavern & Inn

The room is super cute, perfect for a single person who needs alone time or couple. Has microwave & fridge, coffee plus some cups. Bed was cozy. Overall was clean and welcoming. There is also a patio to come outside and sit if you want. It’s super quiet outside. The place is hidden. Only negatives are it’s located on an unpaved road so you’re walking or driving in dirt. The bar / restaurant wasn’t open while I was there, maybe it’s only open during the week? So we had to get food elsewhere. But I’ll be back.

I don't want this to come off as a bad review. The View needed some work because there was a giant bushes behind our rooms that blocked The View and the view is why we were there. Room 7 had a really comfortable bed but no thermostat so the air conditioning ran almost the whole time we were there and we were cold and we left a night early we were supposed to stay till Friday we left on Thursday night. The reason we left on Thursday night people were coming in with dogs and ice chests and they were slamming doors and they were so noisy and we knew we weren't going to get any peace and quiet at that point. The room needs a little Finishing Touch as I guess you could say or freshen up they need to put some spackle on the wall and paint cuz the shower look like it was falling apart. Room 3 where we stayed the first time not much difference the floor was atrocious but the rest of the room was okay and the view from that room was great because there were no giant bushes the bed was uncomfortable though.

This property has an amazing view and sits quiet in a hilltop. The rooms are simple and country, but this last visit had a room full of flies. Also, this is the 2nd trip here where i never received a text or information for check-in time or anyone to tell us what room number we were staying in. Over all good place for what you pay for.

The location is something else, but the place is decent. Nice fridge, stove, and the room is cool. I wouldn't say it's big but for the price you can't beat it. It's not a dive, that's for sure.

Comfortable, cute room with a mini-fridge, sink and microwave. Toaster would have been nice! Voices from adjacent room sometimes waft in through HVAC vent. Otherwise, excellent value. Great view of Apple Valley from back porch.

Property is quiet, clean and parking is right outside room. Great prices.

It was very hard to find, no signage to speak of along with no lighting. Located on dirt road, no maid service for 3 days, very hard to contact management. Very old and out dated property, floors were coming apart, walls dirty I could go on but you get the idea. Bed was good.

Charming. Beautiful view. Nice special decorator touches. Nice appointments for an older place. Parking in front of room was helpful. Check-in was easy. Laundry facility requires an app to pay. Need to take a dirt road to get there, and follow the signs. Go past the Tavern. We are returning and will keep it in mind for future trips. Had what we needed. Nice little getaway spot. Summer heat is intense. Unable to control the air conditioning, but we stayed comfortable. Central air vent caused us to hear voices and TV from the next door room. Otherwise quiet. We didn't go to the Tavern, but it sounded like a fun and lively place to spend the evening out.
