Hilltop Tavern & Inn

Walls were a little thin and next door folks were noisy. It is a beautiful setting.

This place is very convenient when attending a concert next door on the weekends. The views are very nice. Check in is quirky. Luckily when I arrived at 2;30 pm the housekeeper was there. Just email or message the Inn, which I did not. Tell them you are arriving soon, they will give you your code to get in. There is no staff on the property to check you in. I loved that check in is at 2:00pm.

I liked the old western style of the inn and the clean, inviting rooms.

Unique hilltop motel that afforded contactless entry and check in which was appreciated. Old facilities, stark, cold and uninviting room environment. Appeared clean but old toilet seat needed replacing. Toilet lid strip said sanitized but when lid was lifted the toilet seat was wet. Shower not exactly inviting. Few amenities. Only a few coarse and small thin towels available and a bar of harsh soap. Lights didn’t work inside both ceiling fixture and table lamp except for bathroom which had a very noisy fan attached to it. We texted regarding the light and they said there was a table lamp and they’d sent someone over with a bulb. What we found however is that the two pull chains on the lamp didn’t work and the bulbs had to be screwed in to have light and unscrewed to turn off. Really? We wouldn’t have even stayed had we not been incredibly exhausted and gratefully we had brought two blankets with us that got us through the night otherwise we would have been even more miserable.

I love this place it's a total relax location. I recommend it to everyone.

The view was amazing! The room was fine, but the sheets were DIRTY! From some kind of crusty something on one part to another “gritty” something covering the rest of the entire sheet. I was so grossed out that almost went to sleep in my car instead. Funny how they charged me $25 to have my dog there, but the room was not cleaned to start with. Aside from the sheets *barf* everything else was acceptable.

I like my room. Tha AC was quite and COLD. perfect for the desert. Fridge, dishes, coffeepot, microwave etc.

We loved staying there. A quite getaway, quaint, clever design. Some people may not enjoy it as much as we did, because of the older condition, but we liked that about it. We loved the view and the out-of-the way location, but still close to everything we needed. Air conditioning was cold, but better that than not cold enough. We could wrap up if we needed to since we could not control the temperature in the room. That was fine with us. Noise from the other room came in through the overhead air conditioning vent, so privacy is something to consider if you don't want your neighbor to hear you or your TV. The price was one of the main reasons we chose this little gem. We hope to visit again. The staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate whoever decorated with a special touch. We loved it there. Rustic, dusty road, chipped paint and all. Flies love it too, but that is all part of life and not much one can do about that.

This property is like a waiting room to heaven. So peaceful and serene. And the views are spectacular!! I truly hated to leave! The only thing missing was room service which is not available. Restaurants not far though. I was looking for peace and found serenity.
