Great location in a historic old building with large room, high ceilings and pleasing historical detail. Tasty freshly cooked full English breakfast. Friendly and helpful stfff. Nice bar.

No aircon so room was a bit stuffy. Might be a problem in a hot summer.

VERY NICE BREAKFAST, GREAT ATTENTIVE STAFF AND GOOD QUALITY FOOD. FOR AN OLDER BUILDING YOU EXPECT SMALLER ROOMS WHICH THIS WAS BUT IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN AND GOOD QUALITY BEVERAGES AND SNACKS.

Breakfast was cooked fresh every day The restaurant menu could be tweaked to suit my 'condition' which sometimes I cannot have any sauces or herbs or spices The staff were very attentive and very friendly which is a bonus! Their staff are excellent ambassadors for the Hotel owners - they went above and beyond considering the heatwave we were experiencing!!!!!

Shower in Room 1 needs a different shower cubicle door - water from the shower every time we used it went over the bathroom floor and could potentially create a slips and falls hazard - I did report this as I had to mop up every time we used it Not happy with the charge for car parking as I believe because we booked through Booking.com we had to pay £5 per day which I did have to pay £30 on check out - please Booking,com mention this in large print?>????!!!!!! Apparently it's because we booked through you and NOT directlly through the Hotel. AND WHY DO WE HAVE TO PAY??? PLEASE REFUND THIS Dust on top of the wardrobe which is not acceptable when taking our suitcase down to pack it landed on some clean clothes which I was about to pack inside - this was reported to Hotel An extra charge of £20 for cleaning the room if you wanted it cleaned - fortunately we were there for more than 3 days so we had it cleaned ONCE free of charge I did complain about this extra charge too - I have stayed in many family run establishments and I have never ever had to pay car parking nor cleaning
