Reef Club Resort

The two bedroom unit we were in was not clean. It was a little dingy and very "tired". The bed in the main bedroom was extremely uncomfortable and impossible to sleep in. We had to resort to the single beds in the second bedroom which were moderately more comfortable.

The reef club was wonderful. It’s close to town we walked in every day and 2 min walk to the beach. The apartment was clean and very cozy, great value for money. This is my second time staying here and I will be back again !!

Pool was lovely, location was great.

Wasn’t very clean, door to balcony didn’t even close/lock. People around in other rooms partied and had music on until all hours of the night.

Room absolutely filthy. Not hygienic. Couldn't use the fridge. Smelt like death. I could go on on on

Good location but after that was a terrible experience. The manager actually lied to us regarding cleaning of the room after tradies were in all day replacing air conditioners and the room was unusable. Cockroaches galore post changing of the air conditioners …must have upset some nest in the ceiling. Very poorly maintained property. Heaps of pics to prove. No compensation ….when room not cleaned properly and we complained were we evicted for apparently being abusive towards a staff member…when in fact we were extremely upset and requesting the bed linen changed as tradies put their equipment and parts on them. Manager threatened legal action if we put up a bad review . Manager said would refund unused nights but never did. Reported to booking .com and manager ignored all requests and didn’t respond to them. I have also noticed other negative reviews….clients are mocked and treated badly…which I expect they will do here as well…..but happy to provide all the pictures and evidence .

manager awful.. maintenance of the property poor…there was even a 2 foot tree growing from the gutter off the balcony…also have a picture . If I owned an apartment in this complex I would be mortified how poorly maintained it is. Furniture old…small tv…balancing on an old remote to keep it straight. Rubbish clearly from Easter under the beds….3 months ago…poorly cleaned.

Great heated pool & there's a spa, but be aware structly only available from 9am-9pm. Nice apartment, all facilities.

Additional cost for servicing room daily was unexpected for price. Also additional cost for extra or clean towels & pool towels. Wasn't aware of this until after we checked in & we were stating for a week. Be aware if staying more than one night only a 'starter kit' is provided & after this you need to buy & provide your own toilet paper, toiletries, tea, coffee, garbage bags etc.

Excellent stay at this apartment which had all the amenities we needed. Close to centre of port douglas and 4 mile beach. Would highly recommend
