We stay here pretty much every year at this time and always enjoy it. This was our first time back since the lobby and restaurant upgrade and for us it felt like a little bit of nostalgia disappeared with the changes, but that's just a personal critique and everyone has their own opinion. But, on the other hand the elevator being down for our entire visit was an absolute nightmare. 49 steps to our room is not a big deal for me but my wife has knee issues and dreaded every time we had to go to the room. Looking at some of the people staying there I really don't know how they made it to their rooms at all. Now I understand that old buildings have things go wrong but do not understand how it can go into day 4 without anyone even looking at the thing. This will definitely come into mind next time we book a trip in that area.
