Most Amazing experience ever! We escaped the Florida heat by heading to the top of Fire Mountain. July 4th weekend and the cool Mountain air was beyond refreshing. Our room and view was amazing. We especially enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts offered each day and the complementary BBQ and Fourth of July festivities. Hosts went above and beyond. This place is a destination yet close to everything. Highlands, Clayton and Franklin are all less than 15 min away. To top it off, there is a winery next door with live music!

20 days after confirming my Airbnb reservation at Fire Mountain Resort, they abruptly canceled my stay — just a week before I was scheduled to be there for a wedding on July 4th weekend. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had with a business. There was no apology, no attempt to help — just a flat-out cancellation because they decided they no longer wanted to honor a one-night booking. While I understand holiday weekends can be busy, that was not the policy when I booked. They confirmed my stay, I made travel plans, and then they left me completely stranded with almost no time to find another option.
It was a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The window air conditioner worked like it was from 1940, but other than that everything was very nice.
This place is absolute bliss! The rooms are amazing, the staff is wonderful and the property is unparalleled. Totally stunning views some of the best I’ve ever seen and the property itself is like a magical garden with walking trails and secret waterfall. A perfect place to reset.
USthe whole experience! First it is an easy access from Greenville SC or Atlanta, Highways or good state roads and a short 8 miles up the mountain. Don't bring a 911 it will not like the Inn access, an SUV type vehicule is a much better idea. as for the place, it is quiet , Fantastic setting, incredible friendlyness, total relaxation, superbe customer service with a touch of "savoir faire", Perfect location, just a delight for a short stay. Will definetely come back. Thank you
What a view!! This was a great weekend getaway for me and my fiancée. Very peaceful and the general manager (Phillippa) was the best and so accommodating. We had a very relaxing weekend. I would high recommend this place if you want to leave the hustle and bustle of the world and just relax. Several great places nearby for hiking and outdoor activities.
A group of long-term friends gathered to celebrate. We have been coming back to Fire Mountain for years and find it to be a peaceful and calm place. We were greeted by one of the new owners (Tom) and made to feel welcome immediately. Phillippa was our primary host and did a great job communicating prior to arrival and was very engaged in making sure we had a good time (and providing thorough directions). I was in Hemlock Cabin, and they were putting the finishing touches on the new furniture when I arrived. Very clean, tasteful and had all the extras you would expect from a well-run resort. The kitchen is well stocked. Linens were fresh and of quality, and the fireplace was stocked and ready to light! Breakfast was incredible and served in a room with an incredible view. Kudos on the tasty eggs benedict! Relaxing on the deck and taking in the mountains was one of my favorite things. Wifi was strong and easy to access, and my cell phone worked with no problem. I look forward to a return visit soon.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Fire Mountain Resort this past weekend and it did NOT disappoint! The view from our room was one of the most spectacular I’ve ever seen! The people who run the place were ultra-hospitable and made us feel totally at home. They made us A+ breakfast each morning and made sure we were well taken care of. There’s a good Italian restaurant about five minutes away as welll as a picturesque vineyard right down the street. We loved it!!!
