Windsor Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Windsor Hotel in Americus, Georgia! From the moment I arrived, the charm and elegance of this historic hotel were evident. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome right away. They were attentive without being overbearing, ensuring my comfort throughout my stay. The hotel itself is stunning, with its beautiful Victorian architecture and vintage feel. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable, and I got a great night’s sleep! Plus, the decor was classic and added to the overall ambiance. One of the highlights of my stay was the onsite restaurant, where I had a delicious breakfast. The food was fresh, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere in the dining area was cozy and inviting, which made for a relaxing start to the day. If you’re in the Americus area, I highly recommend staying here! Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the Windsor Hotel offers a unique blend of history and modern comforts that make for a memorable stay.

I was asked to unstop a plugged up commode. Finally had to change rooms. Need a maintenance person.

111 year old hotel marvelously restored. Great restaurant. Great bar. A lobby the size of Manhattan. Oh. There were two murders many years ago and the deceased walk the 3rd floor at 3:33 AM so best not go to sleep. This has been {VERIFIED} on YouTube so it must be true. Also, a guy my brother in law met in a bar saw them.

I loved the vintage feel of this hotel from the first step walking up to the door. When I entered the lobby I was immediately taken back to the 1800s with the ornate decor and furnishings. We are going to stay longer when we take our winter 2026 vacation. We didn't get a chance to explore the area around the Windsor Hotel. Oh, I got to peek into the Rosalyn Carter Tea Parlor all set up for a function. It was beautiful.

I did not like the French dip sandwich I got in the hotel's pub. Very little meat and over cooked. We will try the other restaurant on the premises when we return.

We were placed in a room, as were others, next to a bar with exceedingly loud music and people late into the night preventing much needed rest. The issue had been raised before by other guests but apparently no attempts were made to resolve the problem. Ownership values the dollar over guest satisfaction.
