Club Bamboo Boutique Patong Beach Resort

On their hotel website they mention they have a gym, sauna and a shuttle to the beach. None of this is true or correct. They don't replenish and restock the shampoo and shower gel. The rooms are really dirty even after they come in to clean them. The rooms need a huge upgrade. They also don't provide any entertainment or activities at the hotel, which I thought was really ofd and strange. The front desk staff and the waiting staff at the pool are great and all of them are kind. The location is great. Very close to beach, nightclub, restaurants, shops. Etc I realized that I booked a cost effective and reasonably priced hotel, but I would have paid double if there was a gym, sauna and if I had a TV that actually worked where you could see the screen.

The property is conveniently located, off a very busy, somewhat marginal road however, it is run down. The bedroom had a great AC and good water pressure- BUT- the BED was sooo hard it was worse than sleeping on the floor. Thanks god there’s a massage parlor right outside the property. The room also had a balcony door that did not close properly (mosquitos bitting us all night) and the shower liner barely kept water in the shower because it was sooo old and flimsy. The one good thing- was the sheets and towels were clean. Would not stay here again.

Four of us stayed at this hotel for different durations. My friend and I each booked a Grand Deluxe Room for 14 nights, while the other two opted for Standard Rooms for 10 nights. The Grand Deluxe Rooms were located next to each other on the first floor, overlooking the pool. While the pool area appeared pleasant from a distance, closer inspection revealed that it was outdated, with the sunbeds in poor condition. My room was spacious but featured two extremely hard single beds pushed together. The decor was dated but the worst aspect was the bathroom - it was in shockingly poor condition and extremely dirty. The shower head leaked water all over the bathroom wall when in use, causing it to run down the door frame and seep into the bedroom. To prevent slipping, I had to place a towel on the bedroom floor to absorb the water (pic attached). The bathroom itself was filthy. The bathtub's drain was clogged with leftover soap from a previous guest (pic attached). The sink was coated with scum, indicating it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Dirt was piled up in the corners of the bathroom floor, which was stained with mould and watermarks. The sealant around the bathtub was heavily discoloured and dirty and could have been easily cleaned with bleach (pic attached). The enamel at the base of the tub was peeling, making it uncomfortable to stand on while showering. The toilet was even worse, covered in mould and clearly neglected (pic attached). Despite raising these issues with the front desk (who were all charming and very friendly) multiple times and requesting a thorough clean, nothing improved for the first week. After escalating the issue for the third time and showing the team the state of my bathroom, they promised to deep clean it the following day. They also offered me an alternative room, which I accepted. The second room was an improvement, but it soon became clear that the housekeeping staff did not genuinely clean the rooms or bathrooms. They only made the beds and replaced towels daily. My second room’s bathroom was not cleaned once during the entire week I stayed there. The other three rooms occupied by my friends were in similar condition - tired, worn, and inadequately cleaned. This was far from what we expected. Although this hotel is rated three stars, its standards fell far below expectations. The rooms that are shown did not match what we experienced. The property is in dire need of refurbishment and a comprehensive deep clean, as its current state greatly detracts from the overall experience.

Staff were lovely however they were so many issues with the accommodation We were downgraded when we arrived and the room was nice but not what I had paid for, the bed was terrible I was unable to sleep properly for 2 weeks balcony was filthy, cockroaches in the room, cockerel crowing at 6am, nothing advertised was available, no spa, nightclub, bar, shuttle bus, bar is not swim up and only 10 beds for a 48 room hotel! Breakfast was terrible apart from the eggs despite having shells in my omelette. There were constant complaints from lots of guests from air conditioning smelling to wrong rooms The safe in the room wasn’t attached or bolted down to anything so completely useless The bath in the room isn’t usable as there are no plugs and the hoteldoesn’t have any for any room! So you have to climb into the raised bath for a shower which can be a bit dangerous and difficult Aswell as being at the top of a steep hill there are steps all over the hotel as everything is on different levels which can be difficult Apart from the staff the hotel was not a good experience

Jang and Tong were fabulous. As a solo traveller they went out of their way every day for me. Even when I got sick from food on a boat trip, they went to the pharmacy and bought me some medicine. The peaceful surrounds and friendly environment had left me feeling so relaxed. Love you guys Barry from Belfast

Positives- the staff are amazing, so friendly and really attentive, really liked the fact that you can put your 'make up the room' sign anytime up till 5.30pm meaning that you don't get disturbed and the views are nice around. Negatives-breakfast is awful- three options available but not buffet, if you have mobility issues avoid as there are stairs everywhere and the walk into patong centre is down a hill, the hotels main website says there is a complimentary shuttle service to Patong centre, this is not true. The hotel needs investment to fix and update many areas, the pool is in the shade the majority of the time and the water is quite cold, the bed was uncomfortable for us as rock hard. We also didn't know that you have to pay 500bht on arrival as a 'deposit' so be aware if booking you'll need this. It is retuned to you on check-out though and for us without room being checked first.

The staff were first rate, the property itself was a bit run down but for the price was great. Being a little away from Bangla road and the crowds were what I wanted but if you want to get there it’s a 15 minute walk. Overall I got to relax and explore. I got the bungalow so not sure what the basic rooms are like.

The hotel staff are amazing! So friendly and helpful and greeted you with such lovely smiles everyday and always had time for a chat with you. We stayed in the penthouse suite and it was lovely, very clean and tidy. The beds were made up with fresh sheets whenever you asked them and fresh towels also. Coffee, tea, milk and water was also topped up. The swimming pool was a bit on the small side but was never over crowded. The only downside is they is no lift in the hotel so if you choose the penthouse suite you have alot of stairs to climb so no good for those with mobility issues . Overall we loved our 2 week stay here and would definitely choose to book here again ❤️

Was a bit run down, needs work, but was ok. Staff very nice and helpful

So the hotel staff are AMAZING, can't do enough for you. We stayed in one grand delux room which has a massive bed and a sofa, this was suitable for three people. The room was nice with a balcony, giant TV, the bathroom was pretty tired but we couldn't complain about the cleanliness. We were upgraded for our second room for a family suite which had two giant beds so it would have suited us better to have two this size for a family of 6. This room was a little tired also however don't let that put you off as we've all had the best sleeps EVER while here. They have a bar and restaurant by the pool which is pretty fabulous again with wonderful attentive staff and was reasonably priced too. I wasn't up for the pool as it looked small but we had a wonderful time there and it was actually nice that it was on the smaller side no fighting for seats, lovely atmosphere, it was great and we spent several days here The area it's in is about a 7 minute walk to a busier populated area and in the other direction you are only about 4 minutes from a 7-11. We booked some trips which we got them chesper from a shop/stall at Karon beach. Initially we booked this hotel as a base so we could travel around the island but became quite fond of it so have stayed here much more We paid to upgrade to the newer family room which was much more modern. Unfortunately the older family room fridge stopped working so all of the contents was ruined, I was a little dissapointed the hotel did not offer to reimburse us especially when they charged us for one of the kids breaking a drinking glass, didn't seem fair, it was the principle of it really not the cost if it. Would we return, YES! Thank you for a great stay. We loved it!
