Great hotel located near to downtown with quaint and old fashioned elegance. Food and inn (bar) service of good quality and value.

For older people with walking disabilities the lack of a lift could be an issue.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay, made so by the friendly staff, by the excellent well appointed room and by the presence of an onsite restaurant. Also a pub for those who prefer that. The location was excellent for walking to interesting sites and for enjoying a neighbourhood of Victorian and Edwardian houses.

I would have welcomed an elevator to my third floor room, but had my luggage carried up and managed the stairs OK.
