Outbound Stowe

We stayed at Outbound the second week of September. We rented a cabin for 4 nights. The place was immaculate. The staff friendly. The grounds manicured. The drinks and food delicious. We ate 2 of our 4 dinners at Eastsides. The pool and hot-tub were quiet due to the time of year but they were sparkling. We will 100% be back. Can’t wait!

The property was the perfect distance into town. Very walkable

Disappointing property and services. Restaurant was only open one night of our 3-night stay. Our room (king suite) was okay but nothing special. The suite is lacking surfaces on which to place bags or store clothing. (There are hooks, but who wants to hang their underwear?!). The tv was only viewable from bed. The sofa sat like a rock…. Housekeeping - other than refreshing towels - is only on request. Given the entire property is mostly gravel covered it resulted in very gritty floors and bedding… Overall the property feels like a motel which is charging resort rates and fees. Too expensive for what it is.

it was clean and neat, no frills however, the cost of the hotel room per night was very expensive for a basic no frills hotel.

Stayed here for a weekend wedding. Was nice but beware there's no place to store clothes or closets/hangers to hang them. Bizarre. Also disappointed the shower head head very low water volume and low pressure.

Our single night stay at Outbound Stowe was good. As it was a quick overnight stay we didn't utilize some of the features of the hotel. The restaurant was closed on the day we arrived, but there are many nearby. The pool area was very nice though the water was cold in August, so we spent more time in the hot tub. They have connected the hotel to the Stowe Recreational Path that runs along the river with a beautiful bridge nearby. And there is more hiking available across the street at Cady Hill Forest. You can rent gear from the hotel if needed.

I was really excited for my stay at Outbound Stowe. Sadly, my experience did not meet my expectations. The staff was rude and not helpful. They tried to charge me 5 times the room rate listed on their website when I asked to stay an extra night (the hotel was barely full that night). The room was dirty when I arrived and was never cleaned during my 4 night stay. They only came in twice to change towels and nothing else. Everything is extra, those firepits they so proudly mention on the website-$30! Would not stay here again.

While it was a nice stay in Stowe overall, there were certainly a number of annoying and frustrating elements that really make the $600+ per night egregious. A dripping shower head, room not having easily functioning/accessible tv to watch during a rainy evening, sheets that had odd dirty stains, and a lack of window shades that limited privacy those elements of our room were tough to stomach given the cost. Additionally, the pool and hot tub which were a key selling point were not as expected; the hot tub was not functioning correctly as the manager informed us and the pool wasn’t heated as expected. In addition to my other comments, we felt nickeled and dimed for simple things that you get complimentary without question at much lesser hotels. Such as early check in and late check out. But it felt icky that there was always an additional charge and really not much friendly staff around at all. Again, I feel very strongly that the cost was quite high given all the things noted. We appreciated the stay but hopeful that something can be done about the issues for us and make the stay better for future guests.

We had a very good time staying in a 1-bedroom cabin with our dog. The cabin was nice and had what we needed to stay for the week, including a kitchenette where we cooked breakfast most mornings. It's easy to access the Stowe Recreation Path from the grounds. The pool is quite nice (but cold!) and the staff were helpful. Would recommend!

Great stay. Grounds are great, newly updated. Nice lobby. Pool area is great. Walkable to many local restaurants and bars. Have had some issues with room cleanliness during this trip and in the past.
