"Great little hotel, superbly located"

Great little hotel superbly placed for walking into Funchal centre, the marina etc and surrounded with good bars and restaurants. Reception staff lovely and friendly, and our studio apartment was well equipped and clean. It was a pity our balcony didn’t get any sun but the roof top sun terrace with small pool was a great place to spend a couple of hours on sunny afternoons. Madeira is a beautiful island and if we return we will definitely consider staying here again

"Met our expectations, both enjoyed our stay."

Had stayed before (12 years ago) great location Just wanted a room to stay where we were able to make breakfast and chill out. Enjoyed using the roof terrace. Clean and nice staff. Only thing we were not that keen on was the occasional smell of drains. Would stay here again as we love the location.

"Lovely, clean, friendly, well located self catering hotel."

2nd time here. This hotel is spectacularly clean and has warm,friendly and helpful reception staff with humour. We really enjoy the location within walking distance of Funchals attractions, harbour and beautiful parks. And the comfortable rooms are designed with everything you need for a relaxing and great value self catering holiday. The hotel itself is charming and small. It's wonderfully quiet inside and has a lovely little rooftop pool and games room. Most of the negative reviews are about things that the hotel quite clearly doesn't offer i.e. air conditioning or a cooked breakfast etc.

"Dated but pleasant enough, great pool."

Location was great, as was the roof top pool, rooms were spacious and the kitchenette was very useful. Balcony was a great to have.

It’s dated and could do with a few upgrades. Initially wasn’t too happy with it but by the end of the first day I was fine, it’s just not the modern hotels we are used to nowadays. Parking was a bit tricky, but could just be that Im not used to the tight underground car park.
