Comfortable bed,

Decor in bedroom is over the top. For a 5 * hotel the spa facilities are very poor.

Room was clean and comfortable espesically the bathroom which was assessible for our 93yr mother and location was lovely.

Alot of noise from below us during the night like loud thuds , noise like vac cleaners and like large bins been pushed outside. No toilet roll in toilet on 2 different occasions even though the cleaner was in doing tidy up and actually using her foot with a cloth on it to clean floor. Long hairs caught round toilet fitting as if floor cloth had been used to clean it. Floor constantly wet from water dripping of sink surround again dangerous for anyone but espesically our mum on a walking aid and then despite been down for breakfast 45 minutes early and having to wait we were left with no breakfast although we were refunded our £75 which is a ridiculous price for breakfast anyway. As this was our mums birthday treat it was highly dissapointing.

Gorgeous hotel situated in the middle of mountains, excellent scenery, close walk to main town. Staff were very friendly, great options for breakfast

The rooms felt a little bit dated but still nice. Very expensive to stay here but this is standard for a luxurious Irish hotel

Location and design

We asked to split our beds and reception confirmed to do whilst we had dinner. When we got to the room at 10pm it was done so called reception who sent the concierge (a very nice old man) to split and redo the beds whilst we were in the room. This felt very bad so we assisted him. We visited the spa 2 times- its not clean and various things require replacement or thorough cleaning. The sauna is cold. We paid €260 for one night- way too pricy

Don’t like giving bad reviews but everyone needs to be made aware. We went for 1 night and I have to say the hotel and food fantastic. Reception a different matter. I paid in full before I left and beginning of May and they took the payment. I give them my card details to charge meals, drinks etc to the room and to this date they have not released the payment of £676.00. They assured me it was a bank issue but as a bank manager I can tell you it is a hotel issue. I can afford to let them withhold the amount but not everyone can do that. This payment is only being released back to me in the next few days. I have spoken to both reservations and the hotel but to no avail. Please beware.

This hotel is absolutely dreamy! The attention to detail across the whole hotel is gorgeous! The staff were amazing. We ate in the Percy French which is a pub on the hotel grounds and it was delicious definitely more our speed than the restaurant in the hotel. The only issue we had was we believed we had prepaid for our booking but when checking out we were told there had been an issue and the payment didn't go through. I wish we had been made aware of this earlier perhaps in an email or when we checked in.
