Wayside Inn

Great place to stay!! Will probably return. The room was huge and comfortable. The beds were the best and we even had our own fireplace. The lobby has coffe and sweets and staff in the fron desk was friendly and helpful.

Great location, very clean hotel. Staff was nice. The problem was the noise in the room. Anyone accessing the stairwell caused incredibly loud stomping in the room. The water pipes also vibrated when in use upstairs and literally sounded like a belt sander in the ceiling. We paid extra for a balcony and it was literally 2 chairs next to a parking space in the parking lot.

Paid extra for balcony and it was basically a chair in the parking lot. LOUD room near stairwell, water pipes vibrated so loud it sounded like a belt sander on the floor. Very disappointed by the noise, loved the location but we definitely would not stay here again.

The best thing about our stay was the kind gentleman that carried our luggage up the steep set of stairs to the 2nd floor room and the quality linen on the bed. Be aware that Room 9 like all rooms had no air conditioning and we were told to open the windows for air and given a fan that unfortunately did not work. With our windows open, the 1st floor outdoor free standing ice machine directly below our 2nd floor window made loud noises and woke us 2x in the night. The check-in desk in the lobby does not have anyone sitting there after 10pm and we didn’t want to call the nice young man and make him come back to get another fan. So, we just made do. The checkout lady did not appear to care when I returned the broken fan and told her about the ice maker noise during our overnight stay. We decided to move to another hotel and had a great restful sleep and lovely night at Brophy Tavern.

The high price $308 for what we received. A king bed room up steep stairs view of building wall. The room was located directly above the outdoor ice machine that woke us twice in the night, no a/c + broken fan, no elevator, no tea bags in room, no breakfast option.
