Location is perfection. Walk to town in 5 and beach in 10-15 min. Dog friendly. Downhill after that. We had the smallest room of my life. If you were in the room, you had to be on the bed. The bathroom was yucky. Old, mildewy, fan didn’t work, shower leaked everywhere, sink didn’t drain. Worst part is the noise level- you can hear EVERYONE. Bad option if you’re a light sleeper. For $500 a night, you could do better.

We had a lovely time at Hotel Carmel ! It is really well located within the town, and the rooms are well decorated and cosy, bed is comfortable. There is a nice deck to chill on as well as a jacuzzi ! Overall a great stay, thanks a lot to the team for their friendliness and professionalism !

Perfect for our guys annual golf trip - super rooms, parking available, breakfast daily, restaurant and bar on property. Easy walking to town. Hot tub great at end of a long golf day. Highly recommend. Have other hotels in great cities available to stay.

Charming hotel with amazing staff would definitely stay there again

The breakfast was a very nice surprise. I couldn't tell from the website or the booking confirmation email that a continental breakfast and cookies with sangria upon check-in were included with a room purchase. It was all very special, delicious, and family-friendly. Our room had a quaint fireplace and an updated room style. I was hoping for a late checkout since we had hours before our next stay would allow us in, and we were traveling with children, but no such luck. Besides not getting our late check-out, our overall stay was top-notch!

Cute and perfectly located!! We had about a 10 minute drive to everything such as Monterey locations as well. Could use some updates to the rooms for examples better air conditioning, microwave, and upgraded bathrooms. As well as parking can be rough as it is first come first serve and very limited. But all in all the bed was comfortable, staff was super friendly/helpful, and fireplace is nice! It was definitely a great stay!

The staff were so friendly and the hotel so cute, with lovely open fires, it was so cosy. Really well situated and close to walk anywhere. A really lovely breakfast. We would stay again!

It is first come first serve parking and there isn’t a lot of parking.

-great location -parking on site -beds were comfy -rooms were clean, refreshed every day -good breakfast, though not many options -cookies, wine, and cheese every afternoon

-style and bathrooms of rooms is a bit dated -a bit expensive for quality of the rooms imo
