Great place!!!

Charming. Friendly staff. The best part is the location. Walking distance to everything!

Carmel by the Sea is a beautiful town and the hotel is very picturesque with lovely plants. The team there were very welcoming providing delicious cookies, wine and a continental breakfast. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and we were put next to a couple with a baby. Listening to the parents sing about sausages and shouting at the poor child was not the relaxing romantic break we hoped for!

Incredible experience at Hotel Carmel. Super attentive staff, wonderful room with very comfortable beds. The staff was attentive and fantastic. Thier Irish pub Brophy's has amazing food and is a fun dining experience as well. Great location as you can easily walk to Carmel Beach or the downtown shopping areas. Highly recommended.

Convenient location - quaint hotel - amazing staff.

Cute hotel with good service, but rooms need serious upgrades The hotel itself has a charming vibe and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. However, the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The carpets were old and lifting in several places, and the bathroom fixtures—showers, tubs, and toilets—looked outdated and frankly a bit gross. A big downside: our friends found a large spider on their bed, which was really unsettling. If the hotel invests in some renovations and deep cleaning, it could be a much better experience. Until then, I’d be cautious about booking unless you’re prioritizing location and service over comfort.

I wanted to like this property but it is not nice. The rooms give “1995 Hampton Inn”. And for what they charge a night, it’s not worth it. I also had to leave unexpectedly a day early and they refused to refund me the one night, even with expedia assistance on the matter. Carmel is lovely and highly recommend but would avoid this hotel.

Great place comfortable bed very clean. Close to shopping restaurants and beach.

Nice small spot but big window that people walking by can look in the room that is small made us keep shades shutters closed took away of the nice view made the room hot no air moving was ok they had a fan in the closet but for the price just a ok spot nice person checked us in
