Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Roswell

Staff was friendly. Hotel was well cleaned and polished. Rooms were spacious and had nice customizations. Had plenty of grass in front and back (even a nice designated pet area with bags) for dogs. Great restaurants next door and within walking distance which was helpful. Downtown was also a walkable distance. Rooms were quiet - didn't hear outside at all. Enjoyed our stay.

Entering the room smelled of mold - possibly from the shower drainage issues. Not sure this is every room. Elevator was out of order so needed to carry baggage upstairs. Breakfast was good but needed to be attended to more as things would be not filled consistently.

I checked in on December 11 and checked out on the morning of December 14,2025. When I checked out I went to the front desk and requested a copy of the bill. I was told by the desk clerk, male, heavier set with dark hair, that there was no bill because my employer had booked the hotel third party. On December 18, my credit card got charged 78.00 for parking. Now correct me if I’m wrong but 3 days at $12.00 per day is $36.00. So why did I get charged extra days for parking when I wasn’t staying in the hotel. For that matter why wasn’t my employer charged the parking fee on their credit card. When I attempted to call the hotel by googling their phone number. I talked to a lady that said I called the wrong number and gave me another number to call. When I called that number, it requires you to enter your reservation number that begins with an H. Well since I couldn’t get the receipt I obviously don’t have the number. Anyway it just irritates me that I asked for a receipt, because I could have had the charges taken care of right there by my employer. Instead I’m told that there is no receipt then 4 days later they not only charge me for parking but charge me more days than what I actually stayed in the hotel. Other than that little agitation. The hotel was clean, they don’t serve breakfast until 7 am. Which was a downer because I was at work at 7 am. 6 am breakfast would have been more convenient but it’s ok. The people were friendly. My only three complaints are breakfast time, Parking fees (over charging) and there is not a number to call and talk to someone directly.

Employees were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again. The breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, a variety of breakfast options.

The hotel listing mentioned there MAY be a pet fee, in my travel experience that is normal and usually no more than $45 for the stay, but while checking in I was informed there would be a non-refundable $100 pet fee for the stay. This was not disclosed before we arrived and not listed anywhere I could find. They have several printed out signs around the hotel to let you know of this policy so I’m assuming it’s a new one, but guests should definitely be made aware of a $100 fee they are forced to pay upon arrival BEFORE they book!!

I have been charged twice for a very expensive room, $244 for a 2 bed tiny room, once at booking & once at checkin. I will have to sort this out when I go down for breakfast in the morning or at check out. I am a member and have never had this happen at another Marriotts & I have stayed at a lot of different ones over the years. The room smells of nasty cheep tacos. The room bolt lock will not lock and I am a mom traveling with my son, unfortunately the hotel is full and I am not able to have a different room. There is something wrong with the track for the blackout curtains and they will not close all the way. The switch to turn on one of the lights is broken. Thankfully I brought cleaning supplies & our crocs because of the way the carpet feels tells me anything the room is definitely not clean. You can hear your neighbors clearly & even halfway down the hotel you can hear all of the road noise. I would never stay here again & would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
