Marriott Quebec City Downtown

Room was very big. People are very kind.

We had to pay for Internet, which we did not! A money grab because you are downtown. Room was small and scaffolding outside so no window view at all! Parking is a hike, and expensive . Won’t stay here again.

Clean and newly renovated

Stayed with my wife for a couple of nights during a road trip around Canada. Location was great, A good place to explore from. Parking at Stationnement D’Youville is right outside at $20 per day. Check in was good all staff extremely friendly. The dinner we had was tasty and again, great service. The room was a good size and recently renovated. The beds comfortable but extremely noisy when getting in our out. We woke each other up if we got up in the night! Spotlessly clean all round, bathroom good and shower great. My major disappointment was the view. The whole side of the hotel was covered in scaffolding and we could see nothing out of the window. We weren’t warned about this in advance so not good of the hotel. Really took the shine off what would have been a great stay.

The cleanliness, the restaurant, the quality of food

The inefficient front desk staff. They swiped our card twice for the whole amount of our stay.. We really hope we get back our money which they said will be reimbursed

This hotel was a mixed bag for us. Excellent location in old quebec city. Our check in was down quickly. Jalil at the desk was very friendly. With construction going on they gave us a suite on the 7th floor facing the construction work. So we needed to keep the curtains drawn all the time. However the room was large. Fabulous bathroom. Comfortable bed and the kitchenette was good. The restaurant near the front lobby which serves lunch and dinner as well was fabulous. The chef from Mauritius personally attended to us. While customer service was really good which included the concierge, the only area they need to improve is to have more experienced staff at the front desk. They were not able to answer our queries. The girl swiped our card twice for room charges. Though they assured us that the money will be returned to wait for 900 dollars to be returned is a bit of a stretch.

Everything was perfect and this hotel has a great location across the street from all of the cool things in the upper part of the old town. There’s a good coffee shop with some nice options for a quick breakfast as well. It’s close to the Citadel too. And only about .5 miles from the train station. But if you come by train, I recommend taking a taxi from the train station (not Uber…we tried that and waited 15 minutes for a car that never seemed to advance to the station…taxis, on the other hand, line up up at the station and it seems easier to get one of those). There are steep hills, which you’d have to walk up with your luggage to get to the hotel. My daughter and I managed the hills with our luggage without a problem on our way from the hotel back to the train station though, as it was all downhill and there’s a route with no stairs. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant one night. The room was spotless, had a smart TV with Netflix and other streaming options, a mini fridge and a safe. Our room was fairly large and so was the bathroom! Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Great hotel!
