Marriott Quebec City Downtown

This Marriott property was in a very nice area, located to a large park and lots of cafe's, restaurants and shops in close walking distance. The staff was very polite and welcoming and the facility was clean and comfortable. As with all Marriott's, I will definitely stay here again.

Got to the hotel a little early, so our room wasn’t ready. Not a big deal. Front desk said they’d call us when the room was ready. Confirmed they had our correct number. But they never called. We had to come back to the hotel to ask again. Not great.

The location is fantastic! Just 1 min away from the old Quebec City gate and few steps from the #7 stop of the red line hop on hop off bus. I also liked that there are a lot of restaurants around. The only down side is its small gym and old equipment. Only dumbbells are available for those who want to lift weights. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Clean and modern room. During busy time, early check in may not possible and communications could fall through the cracks.

i had a reservation that was not only confirmed but prepaid. It was specifically for a room with two beds. Yet when we arrived at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, we were told that there were no rooms with two bed available, even though they acknowledged that we had a confirmed, prepaid reservation for exactly that. This was totally unaccptable.

This is my 3rd trips to Quebec and is excited to stay at this hotel; however, my high expectation turned into disappointment. As a Gold Elite member I would expect a higher floor or free upgrade, but was persuaded to take the lower floor instead. Big mistake! The scaffolding was wrapped around the windows with banging noise in the morning and afternoon. You literally have to keep the curtain closed at all times for privacy as construction workers may very well standing outside your windows. The lobby is below class with the door no bigger than my house door. It takes several steps in each direction to get to the front door - I wonder how disabled people can access the hotel. Even with able body who would be tough to carry several 50 lb luggages to pass the small door. The room is also dim and with curtains closed it is worse. The only bright side is that it is at the door step to the Old Quebec City.
