Golden Chain Motel

It turns out that the local government uses the motel as a place to house drug addicts. This is the first negative review I have ever done on line.

We didn't like anything about this place. It should be out of business and the building should be condemned. There was no breakfast until after 8.

Place was ran down and very dirty. Swimming pool water was green and mossy. Staff was not friendly or helpful at all. Towels were worn out and had holes in them. Beds were broke down and worn out. TV channels were all static and unclear. TV was very out dated. This place is way over priced .

The property was in a pretty area

I didn’t like how the paint was peeling off the walls and the beds and towels had stains on them and holes in the blankets. There were stains all over the curtains that were also broken. The holes in the walls weren’t properly patched. The room wasn’t ready until over an hour later. The toilet had a burn spot on the lid. The floor in the bathroom area felt greasy when I walked on it barefoot.

It was fairly close to our destination.

It was extremely dirty. The rooms were very run down and old. No work had been done to them in a very long time. The carpet was disgusting. There was no refrigerator which it stated as having.

Nothing

Everything was broken. Remote, coffee pot, had to ask for a microwave. I couldn't control the television when I did finally get a replacement.

I really feel I should receive a refund. My first impression when I arrived was negative. Some shady characters were hanging around and there was a hole the size of a large orange in my outside door and I couldn't get the door open with the key I was given. I checked the inside brieflly and left my belongings as I was due at a party and wouldn't be back until after dark. After leaving and knowing I would have to return after dark, I felt very unsafe in doing that. A friend came with me to collect my belongings and I left. I did not stay.

This place is disgustingly filthy, everything was dirty nasty..I wouldn't even sit on the toilet, we stayed one night and left the next day, Nevada County suggested this place cuz we are homeless, don't stay here ...
