San Clu Hotel

I was given a voucher for a one night stay and dinner as part of my retirement present - we had a choice of hotels - San Clu looked the best due to its location on the coast and great views of the sea and a short walk to the town centre and harbour. The room and bathroom were very modern with a very comfortable bed - the only issue was there appeared to only be one plug socket available. Parking was easy and free on site. We had a few drinks in the lovely bar which were served quickly and professionally. Breakfast was great - tasty and freshly prepared.

The room was quiet except for when the beer lorry came an a building lorry, noise level had to be quite between 9pm -8am Breakfast continental breakfast which the staff brought out personally it should be on the counter so the customers can see, what’s available not bring out from kitchen, the cooked breakfast was overpriced at £12.95 when we all know that everything bought in bulk I personally didn’t have but the family did why not use fresh tomatoes instead of tinned, also one morning no cups,glasses milk had gone off, all these things should be checked also chipped cup, i personally wouldn’t stay here again value for money no , all breakfast including cooked should be in with the price of room

Lovely place to be - Jodie on reception is so helpful and friendly she really made our stay amazing. They have a lovely bar and they do great theme nights in the restaurant too. Clean and plenty of parking We will definitely be returning Thank you x.

Pleasant stay helped by very good weather. Hotel nicely positioned and efficiently managed. Bed was small so sleep was not good. Room 409 needs a king sized bed to meet modern expectations. Bar and restaurant both very good.

Stayed here recently for a weekend with a group. It was well located within walking distance of the town centre. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable, those at the front had a nice sea view. There was a good bar with live music on Friday. Only grumble was the breakfast menu. It was limited to a choice of continental or cooked, both at the same price. You couldn't mix items, thus unable to order cereal followed by hot cooked food. Neither could you mix items on the cooked menu. It seemed completely inflexible. Very odd these days considering the choice most other hotels offer. Otherwise quite tasty food.

The continental breakfast was lovely. The evening meal we booked was delicious and as it was Friday we had a live band . Unfortunately their groupies came and hogged the dance floor all night. The room was nicely decorated and we had a sea view. the location is not good, on a steep hill with only a bus hourly.

Great hotel. Right on the front. Prices are very reasonable for the area. Walked to Broadstairs all along the coast. Parked right outside and used the loop bus to visit Cliftonville and Margate. Walked to restaurants for dinner so didn’t have to use the car. Hotel now includes a choice of cooked or continental which was great for the price. Rooms are not up to date modern but serve their purpose and bathrooms modern with good shower.

Always great experience only down side our room was excellent but near the air con units at the back and the noises kept my partner awake all night but cannot fault the service and food excellent

Our stay was on a Saturday. The hotel was busy and checking in was quick and front of house staff were efficient and knowledgeable. Our room was family room 304. The room was huge the decor was very on point and the bathroom was very modern and catered for our need. The beds were comfortable, pillows were very good. The room also had a TV and a small fridge, desk, wardrobe, sofa bed and tea and coffee maker. We had a wonderful sea view from the rooms large windows. The hotel has a brasserie restaurant which has an extensive menu, We chose to have starters and mains a variety of Indian dishes, all dishes were well presented, large portions size and very tasty. The hotel has a bar area which has wines, beer, spirits and cocktails. You can also chose to dine in the bar area with the same menu as the brasserie. We enjoyed a walk around the large harbour which is surrounded by several lively bars. The hotel is situated on the sea front and a sandy beach is available at low tide. After a good night sleep the hotel offers breakfast, and it did not disappoint, a great selection to choose from, we went for the full Monty and everyone enjoyed there breakfast. The sausages and bacon were delicious. The hotel is ideally situated if you are visiting the Granville Theatre which is just a short walkaway. Overall this is a lovely hotel and not part of a big chain. The hotel has a charming ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend the San Clu Hotel.

Have stayed before good rooms and lovely views customer service is second to non. Always have a great stay.
