Courtyard by Marriott Middletown Goshen

Unfortunately this Marriott property is run down and in desperate need of a facelift. We spent two nights in a suite for a family member’s wedding and were very underwhelmed. Besides being run down its dirty. The staff is pleasant Would not choose this again.

Didn’t end up staying because they had no available rooms

We reserved 2 rooms in this hotel which was reserved for out-of-town wedding guests. The invitation and wedding website said that breakfast at whichever of the hotels they reserved rooms at was complimentary. We chose the Marriott because of the brand. Upon arrival on Friday afternoon, we were met with a very nice young man, Tim, who was pleasant. Although I'd asked for extra pillows, towels and bathmats, none of it was provided. I had to ask for them several times until they were brought up separately. The sheet had a red something on it, that I brushed off. The bathroom shower leaked on the floor through the door, the gaskets on the exterior and around the 2 soap baskets on the interior had black mold surrounding them. The next morning, my sister, her husband and we went down for our complimentary breakfast however learned that they would not honor it. Breakfast was expensive, $11.90 just for French Toast. I went to speak with the person at the reception desk, Barbara, who was rude and curt. I showed her the invitation and she told me to talk to the people who reserved the room because they had no such request. I showed her the invitation and she said they had nothing on record and would not honor it. She said we had to speak with sales and they were not in on the weekend. She said I should talk to the people who made the reservation. I said you are putting us in an awkward position. They are getting married today and they arranged this for their guests. She said No, THEY are putting you in an awkward position. I tried to get her to put the breakfast on the room and if sales said it wasn't covered, they had our credit card. She refused. There was 1 person making breakfast and 20 people online. My husband ordered potatoes, eggs and 1 cup of coffee no refills and they charged him $20. I went to the diner across the street and got a waffle for $8 because for me it was principle. We were guests here for a wedding and that's how they treated us. This morning on Sunday when we left, my brother-in-law discovered an $8 charge for beer from the downstairs market that was charged to his room that he never took. He spoke to Barbara who again was rude and curt and refused to remove the charge from his account saying he had to talk to sales! When we arrived home, my husband discovered that they charged our room an additional $100 which they said was for "incidentals" and security in case we damaged the room. We travel enough and have never had this charged to our rooms before. Stay away from this place! They are rude, curt, incommunicative, don't care about hospitality in a hospitality industry and are a franchise of Marriott. Stay elsewhere...

Very nice comfortable hotel. Christina at the front desk was very welcoming and recognize my platinum status. Room is very comfortable. Beds and linen really nice. Highly recommended

Always clean and welcoming with a very friendly staff. We stay every year for the location close to Apple picking, farms and wineries as well as restaurants you can easily walk to.

The hotel was nice. The only criticism I have is that the food and bar area was understaffed and we never received clean towels for the next morning.

Place was clean and nice.

Clean and modern rooms, friendly staff, very convenient highway access and reasonable rates.
