Travelodge by Wyndham Lima OH

THEY CALLED US TO SAY THEY CANCELED OUR RESERVATION FOR THE ECLIPSE. We made the reservation Sept 2023 for the Sunday night befoe the eclipse. We opted for the pay now ($68), no refund, no changes, to guarantee our reservation. Wouldn't tell us why, though we know it was so they could get more for the room. Kept repeating that they canceled our reservation. My husband would replywith "no, that's not acceptable," and woman kept repeating herself then hung up on us. Will never stay at a Wyndham property ever again. Don't expect they'll publish this since we didn't actually stay, but it's worth a shot. Caveat emptor.

While the room was okay, the exterior of the hotel was poorly lit and had no noticeable security. I felt extremely unsafe at this hotel. Hopefully, Wyndham will address this issue with the hotel. Until then, I would avoid this property at all costs.

Decided to give Wyndham another try after staying at a Wyndham in another city. This visit was just as bad if not worse. The lobby is locked and I was instructed to use the back entrance door which made me walk down a long dark hallway. Travelling alone, I am very on guard against human trafficking and drugs and felt like one or the other was going on.

Dirty, The room stank. I would not get in the shower or the tub. Carpet was stained and dirty. Key cards did not work, three different cards before it worked. Had to push door shut to lock. Thread bare towels. Bedding was terrible. Nasty Nasty place.

Stopped for an overnight stay while traveling. Felt unsafe, a few strange looking individuals smoking marijuana at hotel entry, someone approached me for money as I headed into hotel, hotel oveallr dirty.Would not stay there again.

It’s cheap, what did you expect? Outdated decor. The room it’s self way very clean including the bathroom. Good size shower if needed. The hallways smell like cigarettes, bad. Probably wouldn’t stay again but for the cheap one night stay I cant complain too much. Don’t expect anything fancy or you’ll be disappointed, it’s just a basic motel.

I've stayed at the travel lodge many man times and when I do it's usually for a good length of time, and I have to say, that I absolutely love it. The staff are always friendly, and everytime I stayed I've always gotten a clean room. If I ever needed anything, all I had to do is let them know and they made sure I was well taken care of

Did not have great service at all,, the wifi kept going in and out,, the sleep quality was horrible,, the tv remote did not have batteries,, there wasn’t any breakfast at all!! I was very disappointed!!

The front desk employee got us checked in quickly with a very friendly attitude. Then our bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've ever slept in so if u need a good night's sleep Travelodge in Lima is the place to go...

A Word to the wise - ALWAYS check the most recent reviews - not the aggregate reviews. I found this hotel online, and when I checked the TripAdvisor reviews it was rated 4 out of 5. I checked it on a few other sites and overall the reviews looked good. So I booked it via great priced non-refundable booking. The last few minutes drive to the hotel I decided to check the most recent reviews on tripadvisor. I wish I'd done that before I booked. The reviews were awful. And accurate. While the property overall is is so-so, the worst part was you could not escape the smell of cigarette smoke. We booked a non-smoking room, and as long as the window was open the room smelled okay. But we were on the ground floor and keeping the window open overnight did not feel secure. So the room smelled like smoke all night. Also The only way to turn on the bathroom light was to also have the fan go on at the same time. The fan sucked in cigarette smoke from wherever people were smoking. If you're sensitive or allergic to cigarette smoke, DO NOT STAY HERE!! It's a very budget hotel, and you will get what you pay for . I agree with one of the reviewers who said TripAdvisor should pull it off their roster. The property needs a lot of work to be viable.
